According to the FBI, the DDoS attacks are to be expected because it is almost 9/11. Apparently they say there is a 2 phase IT/Cyber attack being planned and orchestrated. Maybe some of the attackers involved are performing a DDoS "test" run on Mt.Gox.

Besides Bitstamp is fucking you on EURUSD rate of exchange with 100 pip spread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=38711.msg3071886#msg3071886

Goddamned, I suspected that, thanks for informing me.

Motivates me even more to support the new Kraken exchange that offers EUR.

I can't believe all EUR exchanges have seized operations. BTC24 was great but still down and frozen Sad and why bitcoin-central continues to be down is a total mystery to me. Sure they got hacked but c'mon, they were doing everything according to regultions, had a good banking partner and with the shutdown of btc24 the platform was finally starting to get turnover. Yet they decide to remain shutdown for months now because they want to improve security against hackers. Roll Eyes I just don't get it.

Maybe it's because they are playing their own game, maybe it's because they cannot get their engine more sophisticated due to their poor coding skills. Maybe ... I don't know.

Better way would be to run customers agents in a sandbox. Stop-loss or whatever according you your own rules.

WB to "the world's most sophisticated trading platform."

It can't even compete with NASDAQ on downtime. 3h15min against nasdaqs 3h.

NASDAQ does not even come close to what MTGox and most other Bitcoin exchanges do when it comes to uptime since the Bitcoin exchanges run 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Maybe we could do something to influence Gox through this forum.

Trades are moving through MtGox again but some tickers still aren't working. Both i286 and Clark Moody seem stuck while Bitcointicker and Bitcoincharts seem to be back.

No panic, though. Hmmm.
