The market is so thin and controlled by so few right now, they can literally paint a fake 'double bottom' and then just dump it.

And it is like that since the early February big dip.

The bitconnect scam was glaringly obvious and the possible tether scam still hangs over us. Strangely very little noise about tether now ??
I didnt know about the Tron scam and its still trading away.

good video though

They have been playing it (the market) like a puppet seemingly at will for over a week now. $1000 swings per day. And as far as I can, Bitstamp is his canvas.
The only good news is it seems they don't want the price to fall below $8k but also really don't want $10k+

And what makes you think this will change anytime soon ?

Maybe not very soon but When user count keep rising iT Will change overtime....
Its completly flawed the theory’s of rich getting more btc’s and be able of allways controling the market Just not possible in scenario’s Where user count rises....

What is happening in this thread now, I'm confused.

Same 'ol same 'ol in this thread. Bitcoin however is looking like some market movers want your cheap coins again. As was said..looks to be heading south.

This was what was going on until this morning..pattern look familiar?

There appeared to be some observer affect though as now it has gone another way. I am not feeling very confident about the price right now and I am sure that is exactly what is wanted...with that in mind I will wait until friday to see which way the market is going. #dyor #btfd  See ya.

Nice article in UK Financial Times about how central bank backed crypto currencies are a systemic risk as retail clients would flee the private banking system in event of a financial crisis to central bank crypto. Saying it would be particularly dangerous if only some central banks offered cryptocurenxy as this could trigger cross border flows.

And they have the nerve to call us a Ponzi.

For those not keen to join the mayans, there are 575 large underground bunkers able to hold between 6,000 and 10,000 residents going for sale in South Dakota at just 25K$ each:

I can’t think of anywhere you are more likely to die in a random hail of gunfire or be eaten by cannibals than being surrounded by 6,000 preppers.

Take a yacht with food and medical supplies out into the Pacific. A monohull so you can take a knock down in a storm and pop straight back up again.

What if miners had to pay a fee to mine but that was their entry ticket to a prize pool?

That is pretty much how Bitcoin mining works.
Are you trying to imply that hardware and electricity costs could be called a fee?

I guess it depends upon what your definition of fee is. Not having specified to whom said free would be paid I merely assumed you only meant it in the generic sense of an expense.
