Stuff like this could become the biggest problem for BTC, Yet to see one exchange run rite.

Stuff like this *is* the biggest problem for BTC. These are limited liability companies and customers probably feel they're close to banks.. if they go down, nothing much you can do. As a UK guy I'm keeping my holdings as a majority on bitstamp cause I trust the UK way more than Japan to get my money back to some degree should this ever happen

Except on Gox, where nothing whatsoever is happening

We all know gox is becoming more insiginificant. I can't wait til the day where they are no longer in business. Also, feel bad for all of the people still hopelessly trying to get their money out...
Edit: It's up now.

I sold a few at 372.. I liked that price this weekend. Then gox crashed haha..
Shoot me but on the way to the moon there's turbulence, i'm going to try my luck.
Storing BTC value with 3rd parties is risky. Storing BTC value with MtGox is insane. I seem to be getting my prescience back...

+! This! OMG yes, I was just saying this to my lady earlier this morning. It will just be better once they are out of business completely or someone buys the brand and runs it properly. The transition to that time has been happening for like 5-6 months now and it is great. Not fully there just yet though.

Sorry PH, I don't think it requires any special powers to realize these two things. ...and yet lots of people still store lots of bitcoins and other money on MtGox. It's really incredible. I just don't understand it.

LOL, trading.i286 has lag overflow! Currently at 21 minutes, bitconity says 81.
Are they really that new to publishing gox metrics?

Looks like someone didn't cover their weekend shorts. Cheaper to crash Gox.

As a UK guy I'm keeping my holdings as a majority on bitstamp cause I trust the UK way more than Japan to get my money back to some degree should this ever happen And what's the relation between UK and Bitstamp? Bitstamp is based in Reading, UK On one hand if Bitstamp ripped me off I could pay them a visit, but on the other hand the Inland Revenue can get hold of information about any trades that I do there. I like the way that the UK and US governments can't touch BTC-e though because it's in Russia
