And I don't get why you're saying the euro market is less volatile than the USD market. The euro market follows the USD market so they're both equally volatile. The USD market has the biggest volume so everyone looks at the btc/usd exchange rate and follows that.

more volume means more volatility. not sure that's a universal truth but it's a bitcoin truth.

Bitstamp doesn't offer euro trading. And I just don't want to be exposed to the dollar/euro exchange rate, which is already very volatile.

No, i'm exposed to BTC/EUR... If i trade in BTC/USD i'll eventually have to switch back to euro if i want to cash out to fiat, which means i'll have the initial capital i invested minus or plus the gains/loss i have from the exchange rate USD/EUR and also any profit/loss i might have had from trading BTC as well. So if i had BTC profit that might as well be offset by a low EUR/USD exchange rate at the time i want to cash out to fiat. Twice the risk which i don't really want.

Ok I get it now. I'm in the reverse situation. My country's currency is depreciatiang against USD so it's always good for me if I have come back to my currency. As stated above though, staying in coins is proving to be the best over and over.

No, the euro market isn't equally as volatile as the USD market, that's wrong.

My currency is GBP. When I cash out I just take a Sepa from Bitstamp which gets an fx fee to GBP, but who cares when I traded in GBP on gox the spreads were huge, the volatility is terrible, i lost tons of opportunities that would have made me big BTC gains,  You make a btc gain that easily will cover your Euro fx fee.

Depends on with how much of your money you're playing with. I'm playing with a significant amount of my capital, which is retarded because the saying goes "don't put all your eggs in one basket", but hey, this is bitcoin and I really don't want to miss out on the technology of the decade Thus it would be stupid for me to be in coins all the time or in USD with that significant amount of my capital.

I think I see some sporadic movement. Bitcoiniy is showing over 2k in coins moved, but the price is mostly stable.

I said it last April and I will say it again: maybe 24 hour exchanges is more then the current crop of exchanges can handle.

Edit: now everyone is going to start clicking like mad to crash the server again.

typically we get huge rises then a crash/correction on sunday, then stagnation until thursday then we get mad optimistic on fri/sat then we're back to the sunday slump/correction.

The euro market is actually pretty decent on Gox. I don't day trade so all I do is buy and hold, which means I can move in and out of my position easily if i want to. But I just looked at the GBP market on Gox and yes, it looks pretty terrible to be honest. If i was a day trader i would trade on the USD market.

Gox is not executing any of my orders, even now. I have a 1 BTC test buy in and...nothing. UPDATE Just fell through my bid price and...still nothing.
