Have we confirmed whether or not there is a Chinese version of bitcointalk?

I want to know whether or not they are aware of the $1k psychological barrier over here.

HOLD!!!  800 is not profit time, it's too early.

Wait, people, wait and watch.

The new money is coming in and they know about as much as we do, so they won't cash out yet - they will buy on the rise in case they miss out.

They have been hovering - now emotion takes over, with 30 million bux behind it.

I'm not discussing the Chinese like they're aliens. I'm saying that not all of us think about all of the psychological barriers at each thousand renminbi, and that the idea on this forum of a bunch of people selling at $1k is very prevalent.

I'm not saying that they won't notice that we are hitting four-digit USD at some point.

Kind of. BTC hasn't been big in China for as long, so the Chinese presumably haven't read years of English speakers saying that they will sell at $1k. We blow it out of proportion to the point where I think it might be a self-fulfilling prophecy at this point. It isn't xenophobic of me to not assume that they're aware of how big a deal it is to us.

Where do you all think the price is going? I never expected for Bitcoin to rebound so quickly after that crash. I figured we would hang out at $300-$400 for a while.

I have no clue!  I also thought we'd see $300-400 for at least a month if not more.

Why do so many think this?   I did not sell at all because I had every confidence this would happen.   There is a ton of data out there that points to exactly this scenario.
Uhh... because that is what usually happens after a mania and a crash. The price goes parabolic and drops back to some floor level. E.g., $265 -> $100; $30 -> $5. that is how it works. This time seems completely different. Based off of previous trends, we should be between $200 and $400 right now for the next couple months until the next adoption wave kicks in.

I think the $1000 wall is going to be a letdown for the bears. There will be resistance and some small corrections, but for the most part I can see us getting through it fine.

Everyone stressed out about hitting $266 again a few weeks ago and look how far we've come since.

I think it's hilarious people think bitcoin is going mainstream. It's no way near ready to go mainstream, not the exchanges, not the protocol, not the services built around it. No way the price is going to stay at 1000+ for very long. Hordes of speculators will cash out. Yes i'm as bearish as it gets at the moment.

Yeah, I tend to agree-- this barrier here (the one we JUST broke through), almost puts us back in virgin territory. We had a chance to consolidate and apparently, there's a good bit of money coming onto the scene (I still don't understand how to quantify this, myself).

Maybe now we'll go to 1200 or 1500 or 1800 or 2300 and THEN 'crash' to 400 or 600.

BUY BUY your about to left behind trying to hitchhike on the cannonball run!

Its unfortunate you sold in July... but you can still join the mile high club with your leftover proceeds.  Theres a difference between being a bull and just being a constant downer.

Shaky, maybe - but the trend and news is too positive (sentiment wise) so much news will feed through in to price in the medium term (which in Bitcoin terms is weeks) you can play the ups and downs, but it's only going up.

If we hit 900 frothily, we will hit 1000 nonchanatly, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow - but soon.
