Hmmm talk on Twitter of a monster hidden buy wall on BFX @ $6300.

I hope y’all are wearing a belt.  Maybe do it up a notch tighter just in case.

He's bought around 5k coins by now and is single-handedly holding up the price.

Hidden walls cost more in fees.

Confident non-stop accumulation by bot-rape.

Bullish af.

Not if they are insider printed tethers. Just saying.

Since I think it's printed fiat trying to force CBOE shorts to be a self fulfilling prophecy I figure printed tethers are just a counter balance.

Is everyone on everyone else's ignore list over here? The fuck happened during my brief absence?

HAH, should kept quite! Now you're on somebodies list! Tongue

Bob, when a short gets called, how can those kind of dollar amounts buy bitcoins at a specific market price (instead of considerable slippage)?

Or is it a forced market buy for $2,554,207 when the bitcoin price exceeded $6,607.5 (first example)? How would the shorter then guarantee it can pay back all the bitcoins lent?

(not a trader as you might have noticed)

The tweets track margins getting liquidated at Bitmex. Bitmex trading is really Bitcoin settled derivatives on Bitmex. When the market moves enough on Bitmex, the shorter is forced to buy longs on Bitmex to cover their margin. The margin on Bitmex can be any amount between 1x and 100x. In reality, the person who was forced to buy $2,554,207 to cover his margin and get liquidated, probably only lost a 100th of that or a 50th of that. Depends on how big of a margin they were betting. 100x short margins are liquidated when the market goes up about 1%. 50x margin is liquidated at about 2% rise.

I like how nobody in this thread considers people like Jack Dorsey praising bitcoin as a huge red flag.  The same guy who says he's going to turn America into a one party, left wing, communist system by shadowbanning all right wing views lol.  The same guy who owns Square, which just got a "bitlicense".  The whole bitlicense thing was entirely a Jew scam where they make it almost impossible for anyone to meet regulatory requirements except already existing monopolies, ensuring their stranglehold on the market.

So you have evil globalist Jews and shabbos goyim like Jack Dorsey, Ben Bernanke, and Larry Summers all praising bitcoin now.  People claimed "all the right people hate Trump so let's vote for him".  It's the exact opposite with bitcoin.  All the worst scumbags in the world are trying to push bitcoin on people while telling you not to use physical silver and gold.  Probably because this is their on-ramp attempt for a cashless society slave system where everyone is tracked and monitored, and since coins are non-fungible with designed to centralize transaction validators, they can just blacklist you and turn off your money at will like they do to Twitter accounts.

Love this answer.... " Bitcoin cannot be frozen "..... is what make one LOVE BTC .... take a look... https://twitter.com/bitcoinization/status/1029497756807847936

Not sure what the heck you all are talking about, but it kinda sounds like fun!  Sad

Meanwhile, Bitmex CEO claims that ETH is going sub-100: https://www.ccn.com/shtcoin-ethereum-price-will-fall-below-100-bitmex-ceo/

Very well may be.
My technical reasons (apart from overall feelings of potential eth inferiority based on many characteristics):
1. eth Jan 2018 peak of 1400 is the the time equivalent of 2013 btc peak. the consequent decline should be at least to $188.
2. btc had several bubbles and declines. This is the first for eth, so, potentially, this is rather an equivalent of btc bubble to bottom move of $32 to $2 (2011). In such case, bottom would be at around $88.

Conclusion: it is entirely possible that eth would bottom at $88-188.
