At the moment, the wisest thing to do IMO is to stay market neutral (basically: flat or hedged). A bit more suffering, my friends. Not sure it's really going to be late 2018/early 2019, but the rewards will be handsome.

I think the 2014-2015 was much worse, as the fundamentals weren't so strong and the overall feeling about bitcoin wasn't so positive either. If this is suffering, then I don't mind to suffer some more. But of course can't wait when it's over Smiley buy buy buy.

No pain, no gain.
This doesn't feel painful what's painful is the wife making me sell for the down payment on a home and soon. I'm going to lose out big.

Ouch. Hope the mortgage company doesn't give you too much flack on exactly how you came up with the money for the down payment. Also, I'm sure the government is going to require their pound of flesh.

Personally I’d wait until mid 2021. I’d rent a couple more years & then buy the house outright in bitcoin.

Everybody has different circumstances though.

My gf is pretty angry at me regarding bitcoin to be honest. If I’d cashed out at the ATH I’d have become a millionaire. At the current prices with my HODLED stash, I’m not.

She keeps telling me ‘bitcoin is finished, it must be over, you should have cashed out, we’ll never get another chance like that’.

It’s times like this I look at different charts from the past that show % drops from ATH’s & then look at the subsequent recoveries & new ATH’s that makes me smile & know everything will be ok.

Look out for 6-12 months after the next halving, that’s when I believe we will be wealthy bulls Cheesy

Not to be a sexist dick, but the ladies should be kept unaware of crypto holdings. It allows easier thinking in times of trouble. If really, really necessary, one could sell what's needed and magically come up with the money when it's needed.

Owning your own home is a great thing and often a decent investment for your money and relationship. Sounds like you might not have been able to make the down payment if you hadn't been in BTC for awhile.
Congrats! Another success story sprung from BTC.
Anyhow, you'll be rebuilding your position again soon.
Make sure you negotiate for the interest rate, those things aren't in stone at the banks.

Tell her your in it for the movement, not for the money.
You aren't here to get rich, but to make a difference.

She'll stop bothering you and might even respect you for it.

Chicks are good at spending money not managing it.

Why didn't she take the chances you did and invested herself then?
She could do with it as she sees fit then.
Oh wait, let me guess, she didn't have the foresight to see its potential and didn't invest when she should have and is now telling you how you should spend your own money. Sounds like great financial advise to me /s.
When it reaches the next ATH dump her and find someone more appreciative.
