Somebody needs to orchestrate a bot like Chart Buddy for this thread.
This thread misses it imo.

Re orderbook:

Agree, but how real are that buy walls?

Could be cancled quite quick to orchestrate a dump sub 3k.

(Being quite active on coinbase for a while, and the market maker there does that a lot of times)

Everyone's panicing and watching the price melt and here I am trading shitcoins trying to profit off margins.

Cool. You can buy everyone in this thread an MSI to cheer them up.
Yeah off my $4 profit per trade that makes a day to fucking fill. Who wants msi boxes?

I only trade with a handful of play money, I don't plan on losing a chunk of btc for fucking around.

Please stop boasting about your riches. It's disgusting and we are struggling to capitulate.

How you feeling Hairy?
Worried, concerned?

The price is tracking nicely to the model so far, albeit slightly ahead of schedule.  Am not in any rush and think that whatever range we settle at, we should be there for awhile.  The market needs time more than anything else.

In the very short term, we are due a bounce / bull trap lasting a couple of weeks.

Looking at it through a 10 year time horizon, this is an extraordinary opportunity.

So not particularly fussed.

I can wait 10 years if I have to but I was hoping I’d be pretty rich around 12 months after the next halvening.
I was close to being a millionaire GBP wise at the ATH (obviously that’s gone to shit now but I’ve sold nothing).

I was hoping to be 75% sold out of bitcoin in approx 2022 never having to even think about what I’m spending ever again.

10 years is a little long but I can wait.

This just seems a lot worse than the last long bear market as obviously I have a lot to lose this time.

10 years is a lot of time... I mean, 10 years from now... When I started in 2013 10 years was my idea of long term and perfectly ok... but another 10 years? You are hurting my feelings now.

Anyway... know what? I feel like more relaxed now that I have lost so much of papers profits than when I had much more to lose. It's weird. Now it is starting to be a fun game again!

Don't read too much into the 10 years.  It was meant as a metaphor for "long term".

I stand by my previous prediction that honey badger will go super-parabolic again after the next halvening.

In this moment, I am the honey-badger.

But it is your first bear market, ain't it? I mean, didn't you start in 2014/15?

LeL I am now below my average cost per btc.

It is my turn to feel the pain.

Coulda cashed out from 3.8k and bought back. Didn't. What did I do instead? Bought more.  Grin

Nothing wrong with buying more, especially when the price is already nearly 84% down from its $19,666 top, and even at $3,800 it would have ben down nearly 81% from its top, so buying anywhere in this area, even if BTC prices do happen to go down to $1k (which I hope that they will not, but they could), still seems to be a decent time to be buying - even though there seem to be some buying contra-indications, including that the price is falling so fast that it could be prudent to wait, too... (the catching a falling knife difficulty (and pain)).

why ETH falls stronger than bitcoin? Competitor's problems should be beneficial, not the other way around

Because the herd alphas are beginning to realize it's fundamentally a bad design and it's goals will be reached on layer 2 networks archored to Bitcoin layer 1.

Most of the rest won't realize what is happening until it's too late.

altcoins are correlated to bitcoin, no exceptions. in a bear market, they always fall harder than bitcoin. this makes sense: in a market contraction, higher risk and more speculative assets suffer the most.

bitcoin and altcoins aren't competitors. their relationship is symbiotic, really.

the rest are not, but the ETH is, it is a contender for the first place https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=428589.msg48412665#msg48412665
