Survivor alts starting to light up. Having deleveraged, they are now about to start leveraging bitcoin's rise by multiples. The two outsider alts with most upside to gain are:

 • UNO (Unobtanium, the fine art market of cryptocurrency that consistently out-gained BTC against the $US dollar and is extremely difficult to get hold of in any quantity)
Nº 146 in M'Cap, 5 years old.

 • BAY (Bitbay - that has been quietly developing a unique form of psuedo-pegged currency that can revalue in discrete steps while supporting a decentralised double-deposit escrowed trades service for goods)
Nº 326 in M'Cap, 5 years old.

realise this is more an FOOD - BOOZ - FOOTBAL etc thread as its an sh*tcoin thread Roll Eyes

Well, FOOD - BOOZ - FOOTBAL are good, but sh*tcoins are the spice of life and the only way to way to make more bitcoin unfortunately since it isn't 2010 anymore. So better take note of what's FOOD in and what's CRUDE in sh*coinland cos otherwise what could'av been your lunch is gonna get eaten by someone else.

Taking into account that a recent XMR auction ended up going for a greater value than it was that day, I don't think it's worth it.

Quote
Register NOW for the auction to avoid disappointment! Be prepared and complete your registration today. Follow these simple steps in order to bid;

Click here to download our attached registration form
Complete the form, and return it to ~snip~ along with a copy of your photographic ID and proof of address
Once we have your documents, one of our staff will contact you via the information given to take your £500 deposit
Await an email with your login details (registration cannot be complete without all of the above).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Please read the terms & conditions before bidding.
All Lots are subject to a 4.5% buyer’s premium (VAT will be charged on the buyer’s premium in addition).
Full payment is required within 24 hours of the auction.
Details for the wallet for the assets to be transferred to is to be sent no later than 48 hours following the auction.
No bids can be withdrawn once placed for any reason.

Do they accept XMR for bidding? Cheesy

Nope - but I wouldn't sell my XMR for BTC now anyway Wink

I have registered, but they insist on a £500 deposit upfront and don't even show you the lots prior to registration.

I am only in to see what's what - just in case it's a bargain.  Deposit is refundable in full if you don't win a bid.

Worth pinging off a registration form to at least be in the game...

Well, the problem would be when to sell if and when we get to somewhere between 100K and 1 mil.
it would suck to sell a bit at 100K if 1000k (a mil) is following closely.
In 2017 the price was both $800 and close to $20K, almost a 25-fold difference.
Therefore, it is entirely possible (although not likely) that both 100K and 1000K would happen in the same cycle.
Some mechanistic approach might be in order.

Seven figures, inflation notwithstanding, is surely decades away if it does happen. We can't just hype our way to a valuation greater than the world's major stock markets. That kind of money will require more pedestrian and sustained growth - a new era for price development.

Redundant observation but a little redundancy never hurts.  A for effort.

National debts do not need to be "paid back". They just get re-denominated. There is not going to be any big "reset" other than a bunch of decimal places and then life will go on as normal.

When I start thinking super hype with such phrases as global reserve currency and the new gold I always come back to supply and demand. After digging deeper still I get to the root of it and that is..are there seventeen and half to twenty one million other folk out there that are as crazy as me and value a fungible, portable store of value enough to pay one million dollars per unit? I cant answer that with a definitive no...hence accumulation.

A phase transition from fiat to btc/crypto might happen and would be much faster than "decades".
Many people are penciling in the next ATH in 2021 at $100-400K.
The ATH after that could be projected to occur in 2025 at $1mil or thereabout.
Granted, this would require a large scale abandonment of fiat in favor of bitcoin/crypto.
Can it happen? Perhaps.

How irresponsible would the monetary authorities have to be to allow a transition to crypto on a bubble? The transition needs to be soft and slow - one more in tune with the conservative pace of those who govern.

And we know that they have proven themselves, time and again, to be the very pillars of responsibility.

I'm living the dream tonight boys, I have a home, a a nice prch and some little furniture out there. This home was paid with a down payment of Bitcoin, and now anytime it moves up or down I get an email from the owner of the loan people. Last email I got was a link to join Morgan coin asking about it.

They were shocked when I told them I bought my first coin at $50

Congrats man. Smiley

2) Taxation is theft, Goddamnit.
I don't know what to think about taxes.

I, begrudgingly, get it.

It's the cost of doing business in fiat. (((They))) need (((their))) pound of flesh, so-to-speak, as new blood to grease (((their))) wheels.

At least you have a shitcoin to pay them with. Smiley

Hopefully, you did not either disclose too much about your still existing BTC stash (if any) or provide them with an impression (or incentive) to attempt to knock you off, especially since they know where you live...  Tongue

Well I only have a couple of coins left, I won't be Mr bigshit at the 100k party, in hoping to just keep gathering more while I can.

If you continue to recognize bitcoin as an asset that has decent odds for continued price appreciation, then it may have been too early to cash out too many coins on property that might not even come close to appreciating as well, of course, the balancing of factors would include several considerations beyond just calculations of appreciation potential of each of the assets including the fact that you would seem to be living in the property which is not as easily accomplished with the mere possession of a digital asset such as bitcoin...
