Tether is probably a fractional reserve scheme, also they are now clearly saying that they use money to buy "other assets" than dollar and that (if I understand well) they give loans to "affiliates".
That's pretty much a plain admission of scam to me. They are basically acting as a filthy bank, gambling your money for (their) profits.
Am I understanding well the significance of the statement?

Just been to dinner with my gf’s family (NOCOINERS). Had a pretty boring time! Back home now, going to roll a fat blunt & go to the HODLCAVE & watch football in bed.

There are multiple reasons. 1) The bear market. Basically, people lost interest in crypto. 2) The new merit system. Many of us got our legendary hero ranks before this new system and Many of us would still got so many merits and become legendaries in the new system too but newbies are very afraid of it. Most of them simply don't care about posting quality content anymore. Just spam and go. 3) No more good sig camps. And the requirements for the existing ones are very high so again, newcomers don't like it. All newb accounts are spamming ICO crap. The major reason is the bear market probably. Bitcoin lost more than half of its ATH value so losing only 1/3 of the forum members/activity is kinda success. Could have been worse. 4) centralization by moderators. 5) accusation 6) Porn, drugs .. etc

I was waiting for a decision, between bullish and bearish scenarios, since 6h PSAR was close to flip to bullish, and 12h PSAR close to flip to bearish. With this bi-directional spike, both flipped, so no clue how this will unfold... Where do you think we are compared to 2015? Or do you see it unfolding differently than back then? If this will play similar to 2015, then about 6 months from now weekly MACD should cross into positive. But I suspect this bear market is of a higher order than the 2014 one, so I wouldn't count on a quick recovery.

Think he means when we cross over the base line or zero line. For those of you that need to bone up on your indicator knowledge...here is a start. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/m/macd.aspHere is one example we might be experiencing. "False positive" divergence often occurs when the price of an asset moves sideways, such as in a range or triangle pattern following a trend. A slowdown in the momentum - sideways movement or slow trending movement - of the price will cause the MACD to pull away from its prior extremes and gravitate toward the zero line even in the absence of a true reversal.

No, weekly MACD (the signal) is deeply into negative now, but MACD divergence has crossed into green 5 weeks ago. And the weekly MACD signal also made a bearish divergence with the April 2018 MACD low (both lower price and lower MACD). What I mean is that the weekly MACD signal should cross into positive, in order to make the case for a bull market, but I don't see this happening soon. In the meantime, I hope the 5200$ scenario becomes true, I am still long (bought just before the Feb 8th pump).

CME futures have always been traded an order of magnitude more in volumes. Bad news, but not dramatic. Bad news for Gemini used as a venue for price fixing, this is particularly true as they wanted to use that same pricing for fixing price of an hypothetical ETF. Please remember what I am used to say: “It is not Bitcoin that neeeds Wall Street, it is Wall Street that (desperately) needs Bitcoin”!
