You know what 's worse than selling the bottom? I was so addicted to this thing. Bitcoin is (or was xd) my second life. Now most of them are gone, I feel empty. Without purpose. Dull. That's worse than losing money. I was (maybe still am) so obsessed with bitcoin I became bitcoin. (That's probably not healthy) youre turning into a undead coin zombie. https://www.reddit.com/r/DCcomics/comments/94jyvx/turd_in_the_wind_by_jonathanserrot/I am an armless, legless, faceless turd in the wind. Still better than being roach.

What's it like under lockdown? Are there shortages of things in the shops when you go out to buy food? First define lockdown. You are not allowed to exit apart for going to work and groceries (supermarkets are open). You have to carry a piece of paper to exibit to the police in case they stop you (typical italian: more laws, more piece of paper, no substantial controls). Shops, restaurants, museums, basically everything but supermarkets is closed. You stay at home. Many can work from home, many firm closed and layed staff on vacation, of course many already lost the job or are close to. How to spend day at home is basically your choice, but I know perople with kids who are losing their minds. Main practical problem is going to the shops. Of course we shop online, but the infrastructure is of course not ready to absorb such a demand: every major store provide online shopping and front door delivery, but where I live the available windows (two weeks) are already fully booked. For every different shop (I tried, everyone has). Bear in mind that if an infected person is found on a logistical center, they have to shut it down, sanitise it and then reopen. Only to close it a few hour later when another one is tested positive. A logistical nightmare. So you go shopping to the brick and mortar shop: it's a mess because you cannot simply go in: as a security measure only one few person can enter, so access is reduced, hence big queues. Also while queuing you must stay distant. Result are very long queues outside food supermarkets (in a sense , now I understand those who raided shelves a few weeks back). This is easy, I do feel not confrotable queuing with other people, but I can do and it's a minor hassle. Who is quarantined (cannot go outside the house because exposed to the virus), well that's a totally different situation. I don't know how they can survive if there is not anyoen providing them food from the shop as also this is forbid to them . In the italian board there is a guy whose mother is in the hospital, so he's quarantined and he's describing the whole situation, he's keeping a little diary. You can read if you want, no scary or gruesome details.

So just went shopping today. No paper products or pasta. Everything else pretty much normal. It's really sad and pathetic that idiots are hoarding toilet paper. This behaviour has a snowballing effect because of more idiots. Now folks who are out and really need it can't get it. And then the cycle continues. Morons like this only exacerbates the problem because as stated above, more stupid people. I've all but given up on humanity. No worries for me though, it's almost gardening season...

I'm sorry, no
What people fail to understand is the magnitude of the logistics that it takes to keep a modern city supplied.
Faced with the prospect of a 2 week lockdown people go out to secure sufficient supplies for two weeks, this is entirely rational and understandable.
The problem is, everyone does it at the same time and the supply chain is simply not set up for that.
I am not saying they are not idiots, but for a different reason. Securing sufficient commodities for a projected shelter in place is NOT hoarding.
They are idiots for not maintaining a months supplies as a matter of course, or at the very least stocking up weeks ago when this all became obviously inevitable.
I believe it was Last of the V8s, correct me if I am wrong, that said 3 weeks ago "do it now".
I, of course, just had to slightly top up as I have been prepared for much worse than this since the mid 90s

NBA player who tested positive for covbull-19 has a message for his fans. He is feeling fine and playing video games. https://twitter.com/NBA/status/1238886687444471810By my calculations he has had Covbull for at least 5 full days, and he feels perfectly normal. Probably a large chunk of the world has this or already had it and is feeling fine, just like the flu.A year from now when they do massive tests for antibodies randomly in people to see who had it, they are gonna see how mild this thing really is. Early estimates of swine flu mortality was as high as 7 percent. Ended up being .2 China already showing a .4 percent case mortality rate for cases outside of Wuhan. "Similarly, a study released by China's Center for Disease Control last month found that if you factor out all the data from Hubei province, where Wuhan is located, the fatality rate in the rest of China drops to 0.4%." https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2020/03/03/809904660/why-the-death-rate-from-coronavirus-is-plunging-in-china?t=1584128903900.4 percent is too high bc it doesnt factor all the asymptomatic people china didnt test, so its looking like my Diamond Princess extrapolations are going to prove correct. My guess at this point is this thing is .25 percent mortality rate. Just a bit stronger than swine flu, 2.5 times stronger than regular flu. Enjoy the hype and the hoaxing though as socialist/communist idealogues impose social control and restrictions on people like shutting down eating places, shops, hotels, travel etc. This is as close to communism as they will get so they are gonna seize the moment as best they can. Hopefully people will see through this and push back.

All this 'social distancing' will not bode well for the economy, at least in a short term.

If everyone were buying 2 weeks usage of tp, I don't believe there would be a problem. I mean normally when I stock up, I buy enough to last around 3 months or so. I think the problem was all the morons everyone panicked at the same time and bought enough to last a year . And it snowballed. People aren't suddenly shitting more. It's just now the normal supply of tp that is usually available in the supermarket is now sitting in storage in some paranoid idiot's armageddon bunker or some such ridiculous thing.

True, thats why its important to cast a light on the foolishness instead of joining into the collective fear mongering hysteria. If Bitcoiners embrace this kind of attitude we will be a beacon of light in a storm of fear. If Bitcoiners are soft and go with the crowd, then yeah we will suffer with the misled masses. My bet is Bitcoiners arent soft and will lead the way, once the initial kneejerk fake out is over. I think sub 4k was plenty of kneejerk.

LOL assuming his people has enough. Nothing against US but I think US has enough then what's the point to do such things. In China there are people who struggles to have proper meal a day. Don't they deserve some attention? It's likely just excess stock. It's not like you can magically convert it into food. And even if it wouldn't last very long.

This suggests to me we have reached peak fear and the path forward is up.
