a couple of notes:

1. Some ^^girls think that their titties are magical...and maybe they are.

2. Both boys and girls fail simple geography question:
https://twitter.com/i/status/1254106410549460994
I wonder:
a. why this is not being taught in school?
b. why people openly admit to being so ignorant without being ashamed at the slightest?

facepalm...BTW, honestly, how many countries you can point correctly on that map, WO fellas?
My guess would be >10, but less than 50, most likely.
Correct?

Everyone gets their ting-a-lings in different ways..magical or not.

Cat on stripper pole could work for some here. Perhaps better than magical titties.  Shocked

Im not really one to judge how ting-a-lings are garnered. I just try to enjoy them whenever possible.

----

There is some debate on whether keeping trivial knowledge stored in the ol brain bucket serves a purpose in this day and age. With the advent of smartphones and Google..some claim your just wasting space when the answer to just about any question can be had in a few seconds.

Personally I do not agree with this premise. I think cramming as much into your brain as you possibly can is beneficial, even if said knowledge is not retained over the long term.

The ability to find knowledge when needed..to be able to ask the right question at the right time, is as important if not more so than regurgitating arcane formula or texts imho.

As far as naming countries and pointing them out on a map?  Not sure I could remember all 195 and where they are located..but fairly certain I could name at least 100+. Its pretty sad to see the level of some peoples ignorance in this day and age.

Well duh!  No wonder they did so poorly.  That map has no labels!  If it were properly labelled, I could probably point to 5 or 6 correctly.

When I was little in school we had to learn all the continents, countries, capitals of countries, political maps, seas, rivers around the world, today they don't teach any of this.

I could easily name somewhere between 50 - 100 countries, and have been able to since the 5th grade (could probably name more then than now). The problem is, its just not a skill you need for anything, unless you want to be a participant on Jeopardy some day.

I'm not going to be surprised when we find out they have been manipulating that market all along.
I'm not going to be surprised when they find nothing, because the investigation was manipulated too.

All Members

Just had to send this one following a certain Coronavirus press briefing on Friday.

Five people on a plane that is going to crash, Nicola Sturgeon, The Pope, Donald Trump, Boris Johnson and a young lad let's call him George.

Big problem, there were only four parachutes. Sturgeon said,” I have to have one as I am the Scottish First Minister”  grabs the chute and goes.

The Pope grabs another one saying “ I am the head of all the Catholics in the world”  and he's gone.

Trump says ”I am the smartest man in the States and I know that I can save the World ”.   He grabs a chute and he's also gone.

Boris says to the lad.   “I have had a good life and you are just starting yours so go ahead take a chute and jump”. George replies,   “There is no need to worry sir there's no problem;  we have two chutes left as the smartest man in America took my school satchel”.

Should have paid more attention to detail Donald.

Thank You Ivor J****.

Hope everyone is taking advantage of the sunshine,

Hon Sec

Thanks so much! That may be the oldest one yet. The credit should really go to the Hon Sec. of [Regiment] Guards, [Placename] Association
