I think you are falling prey to your own preconceptions about people that might not wholly agree with you.

My primary newsfeed (well, after last of the V8s) is ZeroHedge.  I usually check bbc.com/news/world just to see what the mainstream spin is, but I find its liberal bias rather obvious.  I also like to stay abreast of Hackaday and KrebsOnSecurity.

I am almost entirely isolated from broadcast media.

I find your lack of recognition of any nuance a little off-putting; either you are with Elwar or you are with the tyrants.

There are 3 things that need to be balanced in a pandemic. The medical problem that is the virus itself, the economy, and civil liberties.

We are far past worrying about the virus (for now, until and if coronii-chan comes around). The biggest problem now is the increasingly tyrannical measures states are putting into place. The lockdown has to end. The state only ever tightens the noose, they never loosen it. Even the economy is a distant secondary concern at this point.

Ireland is a shitshow. England too. I'm surprised how far and how fast things have changed. Things will only get worse and spread to more countries the longer this goes on.

After a 2.65x increase since the bottom at 3.8K a month ago, this was the second small correction - a 15% flash sell of which half was immediately recovered.
