if you absolutely panic and think you misinvested and want to sell lower than bought, i have a good way to handle it for you.


1) check the charts. realize how much you have lost already
2) calculate how much more it will cost you when it keeps going down like this
3) read the wall observer thread ignoring everyone except stolfi, kkaspar, fonzi and like
4) upon growing panic decide to act NOW
5) imagine you sell all your coins in one swap - BUT IN REALITY ONLY SELL ONE COIN
6) since you have sold now after experiencing real panic, price will start to rise now
7) congratulations you have hit a daily low to sell
if panic persists, try it with 5 coins...

No you're not. $685 is a great buy in price to go all in. If you can't handle daily ups and downs like this then investing is not for you.

I´m more pissed of the fact that I could have been able to buy more coins now instead of buying that high. As we went to 710, I was sure we will see sub 600 again. But I listened to some guys here and bought high because of this "to the moon" talk.

It's actually simple.. only buy when there is solid momentum going up. And don't cry if it goes up without you buying. When the price goes up without having any reason to go up, then crying about it is like passing the roulette table and crying "I should of called red, then I could have won". It's better to keep the amount of money you have, then to lose the amount you have. Never make a bet when there are only slightly good chances of winning. Be patient and wait for opportunities that are better then just slightly good. Don't be illusioned that there won't be any more chances.. there will always be new opportunities. This is smart gambling.

Those at Wall street, which are allowed to buy BTC are already in and probably liquidating. (Hedgies)
Those who aren´t, why should they invest in an underlying which looks like a bubble and is in decline.
Bitcoin is not new... I cannot believe that people found out about BTC in 2013 believe they found the holy grail of wealth. People at hedgefonds are paid tons of money to spot opportunities. They would have done a pretty bad job by not spotting Bitcoin by 2012 latest.

I know for sure, that Banks were already looking at Bitcoin in 2012.

Sorry to say that and I don't mean to somehow be smart and I know it is not simple to play this game, but I always read the same kind of posts from you (buying / selling at the wrong time and wondering when to buy / sell). You should learn on your mistakes and just calm down.

i had 100, was down at 67 around december, now i got over 100.   

In november I had X coins, then during crash I had X coins, and now, after the turbulence has seceded I have X coins. Nerve-irking, but now I feel comfortable.

In a downtrend I would not try to trade long, to much of trying to catch the falling knife. Short is where you want to be and buy the dips :-)
