Reminds me of one night as a young lad, happening across an Open University lecture (possibly in black and white) on the TV. It was talking about inflation and that not only does inflation have direct effects, it also has its own costs as prices have to be changed, money has to be printed, inventory productions updated and so forth. I don't really think they mentioned much about it being the rich and powerful stealing from the general population (they were still presenting it somewhat as something that magically happened. Something they still try and do but find it harder to get away with in current times), I learned that later.
