Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

waaaaaa  Shocked

Quote
The service allows consumers to pay in bitcoin from any mobile device with SMS functionality via a ‘gateway’ in the user’s country of origin.

Quote
Anyone wanting a 37Coins wallet can set one up at the company’s website, but, for people lacking web access and/or smartphone, a hosted wallet is automatically created once a small amount of bitcoin is sent to their cellphone number.

Quote
The service acts virally and once, say, Alice has bitcoin in her new wallet, she can send funds on to Bob – thus creating a wallet for him, and so on.

Quote
The reason 37Coins sees SMS as the best way to reach the most people, is that almost everyone now has access to a cellphone. According to the International Telecommunications Union, cellphone penetration will reach 95.5% globally by the end of 2014 – far higher than the roughly 40% of people using the Internet globally.

If the Winklis won´t launch their ETF soon, there won´t be any place around to sell your precious BTC for USD.
Will this affect SR 2.0 too, i´m a bit worried.  Undecided

I'm not sure this guy actually understands what an ETF even is. Lot of irrational grasping at straws going on just to rationalize away any possibility that there found really be a reversal of technical trends happening.

You have to remember that the US Govt. Has all of Silk roads info.. All bitcoin addresses, etc. Im sure the small fish don't have anything to worry about, its the bigger vendors that do. They have had access to all of SR's info since last summer, months before they shut it down. So, it doesnt really matter if SR had some sort of mixer, the Govt can now match up the senders and if they get the exchanges info, the receivers address. Again, the guys that need to worry are the big vendors on Sr.

Most of the exchanges are outside the USA, so I doubt they are looking too much into them, its the big sellers they are after.. connecting all the dots.

Why would they not look into them because they are outside of USA? They serve US customers. And USA government constantly fucks with foreign businesses extra-judicially / through foreign governments.

some people were really impatient or didn't get the memo or something.

Why sell at 481 when you can easily sell for 486?

I guess this might also be the reason why BTC-E is so much lower, and they have asks between 100-500BTC that get refilled quickly all the time since a week.
BTC-E for now might seem as the last safe place to cash out criminals money.
Also the reason why LTC hasn´t been pumped that much.

So you bet on the wrong side of the breakout. And now you are stuck in shorts, because you smoked too much weed, fell asleep, and when you woke up the market went up $40?

Ok. Sucks for you man. Just cover now before the next wave up and smoke some more good stuff to ease the pain. Because right now you are just embarrasing yourself.

I think that they just want the personal information. Like I said, they are going after the big fish from SR, I dont think they are targeting the exchanges  (As trying to bring them down). Most exchanges require your personal info, KYC, and all that, so if they can connect a person withdrawing hundreds or thousands of coins from a SR address that they now have, its a no brainer... The govt has just begun bringing down big SR vendors, this is just an investigation tool to help them.

You seem too smart to waste so much time being a skeptic on a message board. Do you even own?

Just curious. A response of "bagholder" won't be as unpredictable or witty as you might expect just fyi.

He sold most of his at $80. Been manic depressive ever since. 99% of us have him on ignore, so only newbies know what he says unless someone like you quotes him.

Where abouts did you cover?

Is it long time or is it wise to wait it out?

Even bigger question, when do we call $340 the bottom ?

Stats definitely not accurate. Anyone know where I can find total bid sum?
