Huobi goin hard. $598 and pushing
Woohoo, look at them go.

Is there something that happened in China we should know about?  Or are they just tired of waiting for a rally like the rest of us?  Wink

That and they don't have to deal with the bear on bitstamp. If the fiat from China was on bitstamp this bear would have been wiped out already.

Not even close to enough momentum on stamp for that unfortunately. Only like 1k reduction to the 600 wall by buying, another 2k pulled*. 2k left.

*Pulled back to ~$620

Why hasn't he dumped yet? Has he finally ran out of coins? Maybe he's asleep right now and his phone is out of battery so it can't send him price alerts.

I remember the days when we'd see 10k buys, one after the other.

A 2k wall seems so pathetic in comparison.

Writing is on the wall. Get out now. Eventually fiat withdrawals will stop. Coinbase won't be an option by that time, as they rely on Stamp.
Wouldn't that create higher demand lower supply?  Similar to the prohibition?  Sure, less flow but those wanting coins will have less options.
has anyone here tried to contact rbi for a statement?
I´ll give them a ring tomorrow morning.
Panic seems a bit ahead of actual events at the moment.

RBI? Prohibition? Fiat withdrawals will stop? What in the hell are we talking about here? I've skimmed the thread a bit and seemed to have missed this....
bitstamp is obviously moving its banking from unicredit to raiffeisen - unannounced - panic. what else?

I guess they were simply not happy with unicredit anymore (as so many other people who had accounts there too. yes me too) and also raiffeisen (rbi) does not have any operations in the usa which could have their assets frozen if bitstamp was not complying to possibly upcoming regulation. Yet there is a "leaked" internal memo on reddit...
I will phone rbi in the morning to see what is going on before any further deposits to bitstamp (atm the €->$ rate sucks anyway).

Biggest single volume ever was a 15k market sell.. at $95... only $1.5m USD

Biggest volume ever in a period of time was 24th June
Nearly 100k volume in ~3hrs

Today a 2500BTC market order would be equivalent. And of course, 15k was still absurd then, so 2500BTC should be today, too.

True, but i just dont see it happen for now, and sadly even for as little as 2k.

Banned? Not banned?  Banned?  I can't keep it straight anymore.  Just glad they are buying right now regardless!   Grin

Thursday is most bullish day of week. Friday is the bear whale's favorite dump day, and then by Sunday we will be in the $570s... if we're lucky. Sorry to be pessimistic my good sirs, but when you've played this game as long as me, it happens.

It does NOT happen the same every week, even though there may be a pattern.  What kind of odds are you giving to your prediction... 90%?  60%?

I'd say it's almost a sure bet that Friday and this coming weekend will follow the direction that I outlined above. Perhaps my dollar amounts will be off, but we'll likely see a correction back down to ~$580 tomorrow followed by a slow bleed on anemic volume through the weekend. This week has been following the same pattern as the past several, and this is what has happened every time.

Probably, whales just love it when people begin to bank on a pattern, so that they can lock in their profits when people expect the pattern.   You can believe what you want, but I have my doubts about any kind of day of the week pattern that is so formulaic as you describe as being a reliable predictor for what is going to happen this weekend.

What do you think, guys? Are we breaking out here? I got excited with the move off $580~ but momentum seems to be dying down. I had pinned $595 as a key resistance. Interesting that we bounced right off it. Next target $620, but I'm beginning to think this will fail.

Were these the days of sub-$100 BTC?   Probably.

600 is just too tempting on Finex and Stamp. It is only a question of when.
