Which player should I select for a contest?
With a high rank, or total points in season, or last match point?

That's the beauty of it. Picking a player by either of those stats can yield you more points, but there are a lot of other indicators you can go by.
Think of it this way, you're the coach of that team. Which players would you pick for a certain match/contest? There is no guaranteed win, or football wouldn't be a sport .

The game do really makes people addicted to it and even I get addicted but after losing on all of the free roll and promos then it might be time for me to quit it and start waiting for the Mobile App for this project that will be released next week. Maybe there, I might have a chance on winning.

Sorry but how you loose your XFC in promos and freerolls? As far as i know all freerolls is...free!
Maybe you join too much private Tournaments and pay Entry Fee...

I think that for now, it doesn't matter. As long as the player is Defender, you can use him and put him in any Defenders position you want.
If i'm wrong, please someone correct me.

We didn't plan this, but we decided to set-up our node for bitcoin/counterparty, testnet/mainnet and this node is up now.
Now at least one node (ours) is fully functional, and we can test easier our wallet, transactions and everything on it
We also decided to customize the counterparty wallet to our needs and this takes some time (wasn't planned from the beginning either but we are forced to do it).
Anyway we will also setup the exchange and market in wallet - based on automated escrow offered by counterparty platform.
We have more people working on everything so it should be ready shortly.

You can put 5 left back or 5 right midfielder in the same team if you want. A defender is a defender, whether it's right back or stopper don't matter in this game. Pick the best one suited for the team or change your formation and find better one in other positions.

That's great, now that you get some XFC try and put players they are not injured or suspended.
Perhaps that is what you do wrong in your previous teams. I did it, that's why i told you!

Go to "My teams" and from view window select "finished". There you can see all your teams points/rank/total prizes... click on column you can see details.

Usually the results are published at 2 am GMT. 

Up, on the right corner you have "profile" - select "transactions' and you can see all your XFC transactions and balance.

There are several things to consider when selecting your team:
- first is that the selected players actually play that day
- second is that they play well
