@kaydenC wow 73-77, be prepared for RMAs haha ;p No, but really, i cant imagine running cards for more than 6 months 24/7 at that temp, i dont do over 60, and thats just the "one hot card" that usually happens. 50° is my usual, makes for long life, is 7% hash really worth almost 30°? DAMN :/
Now, I feel like there should be more than 7% difference (obviously depending on the algo), but yes, it's absolutely worth it. Even if it was 7% higher hash rate, and even if the cards would break down in 6 months, it'd absolutely be worth it. 7% more income for 6 months is a lot more than the 1-5 days it takes for me to RMA the cards. And seeing they all have 2-3 years warranty - yes, absolutely worth it. lol i have a feeling you havent been mining long and/or dont own many cards the HEADACHE/time consumption of constantly having shit break down becomes ridiculous, and guess what? most retailers get preeeety tired of your RMAs, and will blacklist you from doing it not to mention its not really the intended use , so your kinda a scumbag for abusing your warrenty in that way haha, but i wont judge I just take care of my shit, plain and simple, but i think thats the mindset of a previous generation, not the new gens

I've only been mining for the last two years though. Currently mining with 36x GTX 1080 Ti's + 1x GTX 1080 and 36x RX 570 + 2x RX 470 + 1x R9 Fury. The retailers can't "blacklist" me because they have to follow the law. They wouldn't want to go out of business, you see.

Temperature around 60 degree during mining is impossible without water cooling or powerfull external air conditioning. My guess: something is wrong with sensors of your Zotacs. Let`s assume that you significantly decreased power voltage and gpu core clock. You`d lose around 25-30% of power to make it happen, but decreased voltage would make your system highly unstable, so once again - something is wrong with your sensor or you are using external air conditioning.

Just need to leave ~80mm gaps and hang the gpus vertically and force fan ~60%

I Think around 70 - 75 is still acceptable. looks like i'm going to the correct direction, I believe your airflow setup is wrong, You should consider this image as a reference. The intake for FE of air gets from the fan point and exits at the point where your insert your HDMI port.

that is such a load of horseshit. 90% of my gpus are below 60 C
Are we still talking about 1080 ti? Brief search at google.com will show that even with water cooling this gpu has 45-55 C. Countless reviews of 1080 ti also say that one gpu with Air cooling operates at 80-84 C. When it comes to farm, situation is even worse, because we hold all those gpus in close proximity to one another.

What is not difficult, just play with TDP (65-85). I'm the owner of a few Zotac tops (really beasts) + Zotac 2 fans + Gygabyte 3 fans. BTW. Set all my cards to mine XLR at cryptohub, hope for coin raising

With only Air cooling and overclocked.

Now I`m totally lost. Can you please tell me exact model of your 1080 ti? Link would be even better.

I can also confirm that I have 23 1080 Ti (all FE's) all running between 62 - 70 C, overclocked and just air cooled.
Bytheway I'm mining Signatum.

A single 3-card rig is irrelevant to the discussion. It doesn't produce anywhere close to the amount of heat that 12 (or more) 6-card rigs does.

Yeah...mine are good for nothing, I should just throw them in the trash!!
That`s a truly good example of how your shouldn`t keep your cards. I`m not trying to be rude, just a simple tip. Btw, I also have 5 x 1080 ti and I know what kind of heat they generate. Ask folks here about their GPU average clock and temperature, because right now you are not only killing your gpus, you also lose money due to overheat when mining. There`s one exception: u`ve got air conditioner located just above this case. This is running in a datacenter with AC and hot/cold aisles...so I'm actually going to try fitting in another 1 or even 2 1080 ti FE's soon

Load of horseshit! My gpu stays below 60 C all times, running 24/7. Overclocked and aircooled. Fans 55-60%

Guys just keep in mind- FE edition cards run hotter than after market option. Also, I have 1 x1080ti and it's always between 74-79- ALWAYS lol
I'm at 100% power and 185+ clock core.
Even at idle I'm at over 50 C
Also, Vega has so much RAW horsepower- but huge consumption especially if you overclock then murderous.
I'm thinking of cancelling my 1080ti order and get Vega-just 1 lol
Edit-my room is right next to where the sun stays all day- at night the card actually is below 74
Edit- coincidentally- I saw the card online up for pre-order before all you big ballers purchase it- I placed a pre-order. I got the limited edition -I get two free games lol
Vega 64 - it'll need minimum 750w PSU ** suggested - and requirement is 2-8pin connectors and PCie-x16
