"Elastic is a revolutionary Open Source project aimed to create a decentralized trustless SuperComputer by utilizing cryptography and blockchain technology. It creates a complex platform that can execute a vast array of tasks in need of Computational resources; all is done in a P2P distributed way inside of the Elastic platform. "

When it will be ready?
Who will use it?

There were announcements about site redesign. Is it still under redesign process? Just curious why it takes so much time?  Is there any new changes in programming code? What kind of work have been done for the last time since previous announcement ( I think it was in december)
I think everything is going well. Simply, the development team needs some time to debug and do everything as it should. Especially people work almost on a voluntary basis. It is worthy of respect.

Good to hear they have finished a few of the smaller pieces and are now focused on the mainnet / core aspects of Elastic.

I have some similarities between the Elastic project and the NXT platform. They have something in common. Who can give me an explanation.  Huh

Well, elastic is a fork of NXT AFAIK.

So maybe EK really is the former NXT dev.  Which means he's super talented and likely to release a stellar product.  I'll wait.

Will there really be running forging on Elastic someday. I'm thinking of buying a really large number of coins now or waiting for it to become available in the project?

I think the number of coins won't matter for the future forgers since they will be selling their processing power, and it won't be dependent on your stake size.
Maybe, with increasing transactions volume, forging (in its current form) will be more profitable.

Elastic's Web site doesn't know when to debug. How long do we need to wait? I will always pay attention to your new progress.

i was just looking the roadmap on first page of this thread and there are no any dates. Don't you think that this can discourage the investors?

Anyway, i'm gonna keep holding even in great loss.

Idea behind this project can be huge

I have not seen a discord or telegram channel yet.  But I think they might have a slack channel.  Could be a different project i'm thinking of though.

There is no dates because devs working on the voluntary basis and its great.
There is no investors -  there was no ICO.
And last but not least, XEL is definetly worth to hold because its great project with great future.

there is a telegram channel, but its not much traction in there. Would anyone be interested in Discord ? wouldn't be a problem, but slack is quite similar

I'm looking forward to seeing more information! Thanks!

The only known source of information for now is github repos of EK and CR.
However, CR's github won't be updated (probably) since he left the project recently.

https://github.com/OrdinaryDude/ElasticPrototypeWallet/commits/master
https://github.com/sprocket-fpga/xel_miner/commits/master

Other than that, you can keep checking Elastic forum

That is not complete.
If you want to get reliable info other than the code release (such as updates, announcements etc - when they are available) you may also check the Twitter account and the Slack (but you need to consider who you rely on).
Currently the Forum is not being updated or visited frequently by the relevant parties and thus you will probably be better served to explore the places I mentioned.

I think this project has great potential.  Smiley  Do you consider using an organization account for the different subprojects (ElasticWallet, ElasticPL,...) at GitHub? That way it would be easier for others to contribute. The name "elastic" is already taken at GitHub but, e.g., "elasticproject" or some other name that is easy to remember could be used.

I think this project should be presented on several exchanges for more convenient attraction of investors. Why do developers care little about this, because this is one of the most important components of the development of any project?
