Well it's working again, I opened up some shitcoin wallet and let it sync. I'm not sure if that's what fixed it or clicking my heels 3 times and spinning in a circle did it. Hopefully it stays up for awhile. Maybe the devs can work on making the wallet not so flaky. I've got 12 generic shitcoin wallets; bitcoin and litecoin, no issues with any of them.
I'm running on 0.4.2 qt client and bitbard, dragged and dropped into 0.4.1 folder and replacing. No problems and running smoothly.

So basically the bitbar network forked in at least 2 networks. Lovely.
I'm out of this mess. My miners spent days on a fork without any warning. I've setup my system so that any github changes are detected and I'm warned. Apparently it isn't enough and the different client versions aren't even compatible between them.
If you can't trust the coin to maintain a single network it's worthless.

Uh, no, nothing has forked. Coinwarz has fucked up it's calculation. That's it.

During the last update one of the pools did not update correctly and was on its own fork. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=186539.msg2574646#msg2574646The dev worked with them and got them back on the official block chain. If you do not have the same last block on your client as the block explorer you are off the reservation. I have confirmed that all the pools and the exchanges (Bter and Cryptsy) are on the the official chain show in the block explorer. So for the last time, check your client/wallet to see if it is on the last block as the block explorer: http://btb.cryptocoinexplorer.com/chain/BitBarIf it is not, you need to delete all you /appdata except the wallet.dat and re-download the official block chain.

Ok, another problem: The wallet freezes after launching. How to fix this? close the bitbar wallet and run the bitcoin wallet/client once. Then it should start correctly. Seems strange but it works..

Just delete your app data folder (save your wallet file), then download 4.1.3, and run that. You might want to run bitcoin-qt once before running bitbar-qt as well.

I have a serious problem here with btb client. I have requested payout from http://btb.ltcoin.net/ pool two days ago. More than 18 btb. My wallet downloads blocks, synchronizes with network, appears as synchronized and than it downloads block again. It's somehow looped. Payout does not appear in my wallet. Nothing helps. I have deleted all files (I've made back up of *.dat file), downloaded 4.03 version of client unzipped to the folder and nothing. The strange thing is that when I download 4.03 the version shown in client is v0.4.2.0g32a928e-beta. Any ideas what is wrong?

BTB already forked once and part of my miners happily mined it for days on the wrong fork (fortunately I never put 100% of my miners on altcoins). You may still be on this fork or a new one. Updating to latest git didn't make any change so I considered this altcoin dead (if the newest client can't tell it's on a fork there's really no point to the coin).

Updating to latest git didn't make any change so I considered this altcoin dead (if the newest client can't tell it's on a fork there's really no point to the coin). Make sure your client matches the block height on btb.cryptocoinexplorer.com If not, back up your wallet through the client, save file someplace else and move the copy in your data directory also. Clear everything out of your data directory except your .conf file. In your conf file add: This is the Cryptocoinexplorer IP address. Connect means your client will only talk to that node. Start your client up and wait for it to sync. Once synced, shut the client down and change the inserted line above to: addnode means it will try to use that node, but look for other nodes as well. move your wallet back and see if this works. You may have to use the rescan or repairwallet option to fix the wallet. Two reasons for sync problems: 1. Too long as period of time has passed since the last block was solved. The client assumes it is out of sync. 2.One of the reasons for constant cycling occurs if the client/daemon still has the network prefix code from the coin it was forked from . This is represented by 4 2 Digit hex numbers, and allow clients to discern P2P messages from their chain regardless of port. Unfortunately this needs to be fixed at a developers level and requires a hard fork.

Sync not working for me. Ver 4.2
If it stops responding when it is launched, you should run the bitcoin wallet once and then try it again.
