Well there are clear and obvious links and proof of the facts in my post.
Clearly an inability to read must be involved in your comment.
When what you call a "legend" loses so much BTC for everyone mining on their pool, your definition of "legend" clearly has issues.

Someone once said, “You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”

You seem to be all over the place now. I guess I’m curious what you want to achieve here. Just tarnish slush’s reputation or are you seeking some sort of justice or a pat on the back for being better than everyone else? I’ll help. Good job Kano. You’ve run a pool for a long time and still take time to come here and participate at bitcointalk even though it likely isn’t worth your time to do so.

Still no blocks. Congratulations in operating the fastest and better connected pool that nobody uses. Its not 2015 anymore...

Small pools can exist all they want, but who is going to wait a year for a block? That is why ckpool stopped. Funny how you keep bad mouthing CK instead of delivering actual code, i guess its more fun criticize others than working yourself.

When mining shrinks back down in the future, who knows. You are welcome to operate the last pplns pool forever.

So, when BM1398? Are you still working for them or is this for a third party? Or is kanominer coming out so people can replace their cgminer?

Right now they don't post much on this topic.

I've used them in the past. Don't use them now other than maybe as a third backup pool.

Although they are not a US company, they are Czech. Pool operator posting to the thread, not that I have seen for a long while, mainly get Braiins representatives posting as far as I can tell now.

BTW, Do you mean you just want a pool server located in the US? In which case most pools seem to have some geographical nodes (including Slush)

But if you want a US run pool (i.e. run by a US company), then I think the only one of any reasonable size is the mysterious Foundrydigital, but I don't think they have any representation on here, so not sure about their transparency or whether they fit your criteria.

As an FYI, the person known as Slush and founder of the pool sold it to the Braiins group in 2013. AFAIK Slush (the person) has not had anything to do with the pool for many years now. The Braiins Story site covers their history

That thread says BM1397 (S17) not BM1398 (S19)... That's why i asked. Obviously the next stick should run the latest Bitmain chip Cheesy

The pool belongs to Braiins, and miner satisfaction is reflected in the hashrate, currently 6.783 EH/S.

This is the last (not Chinese) pool with a non PPS payout method that actually finds blocks frequently enough for people to continue their commercial mining operations. Ie, a pool that splits and shares what it gets (minus pool fee) when a block is found, instead of playing bank like all the PPS pools do. So it has the normal variability Bitcoin mining has always had, and not the fiction of PPS (the pool adjusts the payrate as they see fit).

The only thing closer to the true Bitcoin mining experience is going solo.

I love a good kick to the hornet's nest as much as the next guy, so here goes a good shot.

If Slush Pool isn't the first pool, then show me where to point my miner to mine on the first pool...  If the "first" pool failed, is it the first pool?  If I say I'm going to be the first person to swim around the world, and then I die while being the first to swim around the world, am I the first to do it?  I was swimming around the world the same way the "first" pool was mining...  I believe in this context, Slush Pool is stating they are the first, because they are the first mining pool to survive the test of time.  Other pools may have attempted to be first, but they since failed and were shut down...

Perhaps they should state they are the first successful pool or the longest running pool?  Seems like this is taking cheap shots at slush's legacy to come and make this argument more than 10 years after this claim has been accepted by the community.

that logic is flawed - To apply it would mean that since the first person to have flown around the world died - they now no longer the first person to have done so.

The "first" pool simply means they were the first functioning pool. However long they lasted is irrelevant if they were the actual "first" pool.

Slush is not the "first" pool - they may be the "oldest" or the "longest running" but that does not make them "first"

BTC Guild was ahead of them and were force to close by New York Law

8+ Exahashes per second!

Quote from: Sam | ⛏️₿⚡ | ∞/21M @samusalo

As you can see the news is the pool has reached and is sustaining 8+ EH/S, are you still letting your pool play bank? Get rid of PPS AND get daily payouts(*)!

(*) Variable according to luck, but current average is like 7 blocks per day which is high enough to sustain any commercial operation.

Ja, ya know - Truth in Advertising and all that?
"One of the 1st and Longest running" would be perfectly accurate. Heck considering how long you have been running, even throwing in "Most successful" would arguably be true  Wink

I can vouch for this, but not this >

Quote
"Most successful"

Time isn't the only test a mining pool has to go through, someone could argue that being the largest pool is the most successful, honestly this "world-first mining pool" doesn't change anything, history is irrelevant as far as the future is concerned.

Can anyone help me?
I used to mine on slush pool back in 2014 or so.

I only mined for about a year and just today my friend said he is starting to mine. I told him I used to mine on slush and for shits I went to login to see if my account still works. I guess I left some "dust" in there, (just under 0.01) and it used to be like 5 bucks or something and now it's like 600. Is there anyway I can get that out? I don't have a miner anymore so I can't really reach my 0.01 threshodl

Thanks for any help.

The minimum payout threshold on Slushpool is 0.001 BTC which is just about $65, so if you have just under 0.01 then you can withdraw without any extra fees, just set your payout address and wait for their payout, the maximum you have to wait on most pools is 24 hours assuming your timing is really bad.

Thank you! I didn't know that  Smiley

damn it I fucked up.  Embarrassed Embarrassed

I was going to withdraw, but I wanted to make sure I have the old PK i used for this account.   After a while I found it, but I started thinking, maybe i should use a new address. I added a new segwit wallet and then they wanted me to verify via my email.  But that old email I used is locked by google. I can't unlock it no matter what i try.  Now I'm fucked. I can't even go back to the old pay out address.   FUUUUCCK
