The good news is chips will start shipping end of next week. Lets hope  terrahash's order is in that batch.

The bad news is they will ship avalon version 2 by October.   By the time we get our orders, maybe on  2nd week of sept.,  our rigs will be obsolete in one month.

I feel like that was the plan all along. Now the first purchasers of the avalon products get to be the first purchasers again having made back their investment and then some while we got screwed to fund the development of their new chips which will make ours obsolete. And in the process kept us from using our funds to invest elsewhere.

Fortunately, we can speak with our BTC Wallets next time.  I personally won't be purchasing anymore Avalon products.  Not when there are guys like Bitfury which are on-track with their delivery, and have far better ability to communicate with their customers.

But not making the ROI has prevented me from increasing my BTC wallet to the point of making a 2nd or 3rd gen purchase.

I have zero respect for you, don't bother replying to my posts as you are ignored now.

You managed to ignore all the legitimate complaints in the message, and simply defend yourself. I'll give you the last word, you won't shut up if I don't.

While Avalon has totally let us down and screwed us over, they are far ahead of bitfury in terms of development time.

What a crock.

Avalon Gen 1 - 110nm, 280-350 nominal MH/s

BitFury Gen 1 - 55nm, 1.5-2.9 nominal GH/s

Avalon may have been first to market, but it was a relatively weak processor.

Bargraphics doesn't need to worry about whether Avalon delivers because he just wants to jump in and purchase a bunch of units then pawn them off to the highest bidder. No wonder he isn't pissed about this.

You are right, I don't spend money I can't afford to lose.

And if my calculations don't see a positive ROI, maybe someone elses does and they would be happy to be first in line.

Please worry about yourself more than me though, from the tone of your posts you'll be hurting for a while.
I'm not hurting I am just calling it what it is.

Bargraphics knew from the beginning that these miners would not arrive on time which is why he always intended on selling.

Yes, you caught me. I'm actually the customs agent that stopped the shipment.

My diabolical plan is still in motion and there is nothing you can do to stop me! *Maniacal laugh* *Maniacal laugh* *Maniacal laugh*

In all seriousness, thank you for discrediting any and everything you say from now on with this post. Much appreciated.
You don't need to be a customs agent, the chips aren't at customs.

Everyone knows you are a trashbag and quite frankly, I don't give two dicks what people think of me on here.

I've never heard the expression "Trashbag" before, that's new.

I can tell you don't care what people think of you since you spew out illogical nonsense like it is fact.

Where are the chips then oh great wise one? I've hid them so well from everyone that I even forgot where they were.
I never claimed you had the chips. Some of the group buy organizers have the chips or at least enough of the chips to run some miners. they will eventually ship them out around September or October at the point the new chips will come out for those who can afford them because they profited off the 1st gen and delayed mass chip shipment. That is also when the guys who bought your miners under the assumption they would get them in mid-late july and mid august by the latest will receive theirs. Were more chips sold through Avalon Rigs or through group purchases? I would say group purchases - that hashing power had to be held off until a superior chip was ready to benefit Avalon's initial customers.

Damn, I wish you two would shut up already.  I am following this thread for information.  If you two want to complain about the sand in your respective vaginas, please do it in PMs.

So, I tried to file a claim with paypal for a refund and they auto-rejected the claim because it is more than 45 days. Any advise on how to advance this further? Should I call paypal?

Keep in mind this is to everyone's advantage who is after order 45*. I never received any communication from Terrahash when I contacted them weeks ago. So, I assume I am on my own to try to get a refund through paypal. As I remember it, the refund policy was changed after I placed the order.

Your only recourse is if you paid via a credit card through Paypal.  Many credit cards will offer 90 day protection and will file a claim on your behalf to try and get a refund.

Im not pursuing that route "yet" I still need more info on the delay in chips first. I would rather have the klondikes if possible in a reasonable time. I am not overly worried in forcasting the difficulty or the value of BTC at this time. Still will be money in it, in the short term anyways. It all depends on BTC value, People keep looking over the fact the BTC should rise as well as difficulty. What if BTC fell to 40 bux today? then the whole BTC world is kinda screwed for a while..lol...so...lets see wha pans out.

Bargraphics knew from the beginning that these miners would not arrive on time which is why he always intended on selling.

There were many signs even from a little after beginning.  I personally feel really good with getting my paypal refund long ago, was when they didn't meet deadlines on showing videos and lots more.   Change of refund policy without notifying anyone before they took funds for orders.

Their communication was always horrible.  Not to mention they did threaten me to close my PayPal dispute.

I will give them credit the chip delay isn't their fault on this.  So cant blame that on them.  I just wish more people would have listened to us telling to go for refund long ago from TH.

Perhaps that may have been the wise thing to do? time will tell, the jury is still out...but who else can offer a asic rig any faster or without any risk of time delays??? no one that I know of.... so take your pick,,,lol if ya want an asic built,,,guess ya got to get in line and wait and hope for the best  Wink

Personally I really like the concept of individual klondike boards with the ability to chain,,,One board dies you pull it out of the chain and keep on gettn on mining! where as with an avalon asic miner, many have had issues and the whole rig is down,,,a pile of metal... So my interest is with the klondike concept and all the possibilities with custom case design,,or simple open air cooling...lots of plus's for me. And even KNcMiner,,will have the same threat of failure, if a connecting board/circuit etc fails..I may be wrong on that...but I know with asic, some have had internet issues etc,,rendering the unit worthless for mining,,,ok you get the point Smiley
