On the topic of overclocking...

Terrahash, for those that will be hosting with you, are you offering the option to overclock the miners?

When I visited Terrahash, they made it clear that the boards could only handle 350MH/Chip (not the chips).

Unless you transplant the chip onto another board there won't be much more room for "overclocking'.

Although Terrahash has had time to change up their board now, I wonder if the above is still true.
A nice task while they wait for the chips?

4.5 ghs to 5.6 ghs would still be something, even though we are still most likely past the point of these ever breaking even.

As many of you know, I ordered ~$15,000 of boards from TerraHash.  TerraHash has been mute to my all of my contact requests forever...  I'm fed up.

The company I work for has been a PayPal business member since 2001.   As president, I know we transact hundreds of thousands through PayPal annually.  I just spent an hour on the phone with supervisors in the PayPal Fraud department.   They are going to review TerraHashs' account due to all of the PayPal policies Terrahash has violated and the complete lack of response from them.

Following that up with a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov) due to their violations of Consumer Protection laws.

Following that with a complaint at the Internet Crime Complaint Center (http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx) for their mail fraud schemes.

I would prefer TerraHash answer their "Support Tickets" or pickup the phone, so we wouldn't have to go through this.  I know there would have been many amicable resolutions possible.

Not answering support tickets is unbelievably poor business practice.

But how is it that others have been able to get in touch with TH to arrange visits etc but you can't? Can you not liaise and work through one of these people to make contact?

Still confident TH will come through as best they can, personally.

HAHAHHAHAHA he is like a bad penny, you just can't get rid of him.

Bad enough TH is screwed because of Yifu,  let's not just get refunds from Paypal,
Let's get the FTC involved and all the other nasty agencies.

And what, exactly, gives you that idea?  You don't work there, how the hell would you know?  They can't be testing a production K-64 without testing the 4 K-16's it's made out of, duhhhh...  I bet they haven't tested changes that BKKCoins hasn't thought of yet, but will be making next week, either...

Fucking armchair entrepreneur wannabes think they know everything about everything.  Don't have the slightest clue how a business runs, especially a cutting edge electronics business...

Because we didn't feel the need to do so. We have already tested the version 1, and we know exactly what was causing the error rates and that has been fixed in this version. If the boards you get do not work at the promised hashrate, you can blame us then. Right now you have no right to tell us how to run our business. We acknowledge that we have been lousy on customer support (we are fixing it), but on the technical and operational side, we have been very professional and have done everything the best we could do.

People will nitpick things to death.  Hopefully the chips will come soon and TH will deliver as promised and be one of the first in this ASIC goldrush to actually do what they said they would.

Until the chips arrive, I don't see what people are bitching or refunding about.  It's well known that Yifu shit the bed on the chip delivery... why take it out on TH.  You knew the risks going in...  and for those bitching about ROI, I restate 'You knew the risks going in' -

IMHO - Those who are forcefully refunding because of ROI issues are just as dishonest as BFL and the rest of the ASIC scammers.

So you are admitting that the latest rev PCB has not been tested as of 8/23/13 ?
Thanks for update.

This, right here, is the height of arrogance.
If I had a dime for exery time I've asked if a new version of something has been properly tested and someone said no but don't worry about it, I know what caused that problem and I've fixed it, only to find out shortly thereafter that oops that didn't fix the problem after all or created an entirely new problem that they didn't realize and put a project on hold yet *again*, I'd be a rich man.
You're right in that nobody has a right to tell you how to run your business.  The only right anyone has is to look at how you run your business and decide whether they want to do business with you in light of what they see, whether that be good bad or indifferent
This is a subjective matter of opinion, but I would have to say that if you're making assumptions that something is fixed without testing it to be certain, no you have not done everything the best you could do.

Tell me more Armchair engineer. You should just buy a flux capacitor and a DeLorean, Doc.

Are you attempting to say that it's good or reasonable to make an assumption that something is fixed without testing it?
Calling me an 'armchair engineer', when you have absolutely no idea of anything about me, my background, my experience or anything else... love it.
Tell ya what, how bout you don't go getting personal?  I didn't make it personal, all I did was state facts and one opinion which I clearly labeled as such.
Any experienced person in IT or EE fields can tell you that it is not generally not a good idea to assume without testing, and most certainly is not in keeping with best practices.
Same applies with many other fields, although mentioning those would just get called out as comparing apples to oranges even though it's the same concept - Don't assume, test.

...

The above point aside, you guys are clowns if you think these machines still won't make more money than you paid even if you get them 3 weeks from now..... Stop using Calculators they are dead wrong and have been dead wrong since the invention of them. The only thing that is relatively correct on them is how many coins you will get with the CURRENT difficulty (for however long that difficulty is)

Bargraphics, can you share more details on how you are doing the calculations?  I have tinkered with several online ROI calculators and am curious to know how you calculate/speculate.  I could use a positive perspective right now.

http://www.coinish.com/calc/#, seems more pessimistic
http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/ - slightly more optimistic

Whoa, if you think that's "Getting Personal" then you have bigger issues hah.

The bolded part of your post is what I was referring to, and I stand by my statement.  Using a negative connotation; an implication that I am just some amateur who thinks he know something (and that's precisely what 'armchair engineer' implies) and then following that up with derisive sarcasm.

You are not helping Bargraphics...

Not helping what?

The delusions and made-up scenarios that they put upon Terrahash? You are right, I'm not helping them.

I live in the real world, in the real world that only thing Terrahash has done poorly was their customer service in respect to their Tickets.

Everything else has been fine.

Would you like to join my in this real world?
Many posts of you get borderline to trolling and you can do much better than that. It's not what you say but how.
Even TH loses credibility when you make some posts, which you believe so much in them!

This is a difficult situation and I am sure you are affected as well. Let's try to get out of this mess together, it is the only way...
