If you have a lot of bitcoin, should you spend it or save it?

If your question is as simple as it seems, and of course you should save it. For the rest of this year probably all of next year you can pretty much guarantee that the price of Bitcoin is not going anywhere but up. Now if you're looking at a very short-term period It is possible that a dip could cost you money. But if you're looking at even a 60-day period Then there's no reason at all why you should hold on to turquoise versus getting rid of them.

If I had like a 1000 bitcoin to work with I would probably ATLEAST save 50% of the total. I would invest some in real estate as a long term real life investment (25% roughly) . And I would get rid of any open debts and invest in a personal home etc. I think that would make up for 10-25% of the bitcoin (probably 10% because I don't like spending bitcoin). With the remainder of the bitcoin I would invest in altcoins or a promising well established ico for quick and high returns on my investment.

I will second you. You will hardly get any benefit by spending your Bitcoin in present days. You need to be smart and think in a way which will give you more benefit. I think it is keeping the Bitcoins which will make you earn more money and will give you more profit as compared to just selling them.

If I have lot of bitcoin in my wallet then I won't hesitate in spending some of them when I am in need of money and most of them I will  save for the future and use of them in trade and investment to grow my bitcoins in long term so even if I spend them sometimes I always have an chance to recover them back by investing t You could possibly deal with both because it is a good thing to decide what on you mind and regarding your needs and wants.hem in trading.

Spending is not a bad decision as you are earning it so that you can spend it sometimes or even sell it at higher profits and if you will never sell then you will never enjoy the profits so if its giving you good profits on your investment then there is nothing wrong in selling a small part of it.

I think you need to explore your skills in trading to earn big profit because if you always hold your bitcoin its nothing happen it will be stock in that amount.

Having such a great count like that is a very amazing thing to think of. Ofcourse having a great count of bitcoin like that will push you to start being wise and knowing how you can let it stay for a long period of time. Saving will be a great thing or let us just say the best thing to do to be able to make your bitcoin last but saving will not just be a way to make your money grow because waiting or just holding it for a long period of time is like waiting for a tree to grow though worth a wait, we cannot still assure if the flow in the market is always on pump so to be able to add your gain, you must take a risk to spend it on useful thing such as investing into a beneficiary thing that you think can add up your current state of money.

I will spend some but not just for things that are not important but in order for me to start another business to have multiple sources of income. It's important that I have another source because bitcoin is so volatile and we saw it recently that even if a news or rumor is true or false, many people will react thus affect the bitcoin price so I need a source of income that is somewhat stable in value.

I will save the remaining bitcoin because even if its price is not stable, it is slowly becoming popular and a strong demand means a higher price due to its limited supply. We can see a correction from time to time because what goes up must come down but then after the correction, it would continue to go up and its a good long term investment.

i think if we are saving or spending, its not be a problem as we have a lot of bitcoin but it will be wise if we can save the most amount of our bitcoin so we can prepare for our future and our kids. but if we want to spending, my suggestion is we don't have to spend in big amount and only enough for what we want to buy or spend. leave the most amount of our bitcoin in our wallet so in case the price is increase, we can sell it right away.

I'm a physicist and I can say that there is a famous principle in physics, that can be followen in the real life, also when it comes to bitcoin. This principle says that a quantity less that 1/10 (or 0.1) from the total quantity can be neglected. So my advice for you is to spend 1/10 from the total increase in value while keeping the remaining 9/10. This will be sufficient for your wealth to be guaranteed.

Spending is not a problem for fun but do it wisely and not excessively dude. and one thing you must know. if you want to shopping make sure you use the money you get from the profits not from the venture capital you set up. use a few percent of the profits you get for spending and having fun if you want it. I think it does not matter

That good Idea, even you are not using your bitcoin, in many ways here to earn more  you will have profit. Maybe you can ask how? Bitcoin price is not a fix price  it will change, and change daily and monthly its able to rise, and if you are holding big amount of bitcoin and you want to earn what you have later you are able to sold your bitcoin to bank money and because of it you have a profit cause of higher price of bitcoin. Its easy right?

I would say spend some to have money and invest that money in other coins like one coin or alt coin and keep some for the future to sell them when they are as high like never before. And now just sell some like 1 or 2 if you have like 10 or 20 it wont be a very big difference for you would it?
