Be more clear, when and at what price did you buy too many coins? If you bought your coins well above current rates, and you're disappointed right now, it seems that you were looking out for some quick profits. In current circumstances, quick profits only come through trading the volatility. If you seriously was expecting the price to sky rocket in a very short time, and without SegWit being activated, you're just a gambler. |

I have recently took investing on poloniex serious. Ever since I've invested the alt coins have been down. Do the amount of coins I posses go up if I stay. Also, do I have to wait for the coins to go back to their original price that I bought fo in order to make a profit? What are the reasons to holding if prices are down? Thank-you.
Yes hold as long as you can, don't sell it if you know you will lose. And do not invest with those altcoins you know that doesn't have any potential. It will just fall down not like bitcoins it falls and it rises. But for now, hold it, wait for the time the price go back the way it was. Then that's ths time to sell it and invest in more reliable coins. |

Yes hold as long as you can, don't sell it if you know you will lose. And do not invest with those altcoins you know that doesn't have any potential. It will just fall down not like bitcoins it falls and it rises. But for now, hold it, wait for the time the price go back the way it was. Then that's ths time to sell it and invest in more reliable coins. Patience is needed really in this trying times. Now bitcoin price is below $2000 level and its really worries a lot of member seeing this price fall. And we are still not yet near the Aug 1 date so I'm expecting another dumps in the coming days. But for me, I still have faith so I'm going to hold on still and wait what's gonna happen after Aug 1. I'm not saying that I don't worry I at all, I'm nervous just like others but I'm very positive that something good will happen in the bitcoin ecosystem after the Segwit2x activation. |

Bitcoin price has fallen as most investors sold their bitcoins due to fear of hard fork after august 1.Since most altcoins are valued in bitcoin,altcoin investors also started to sell their altcoins.As a result,altcoin price started to decrease.Now,bitcoin price is gradually recovering.So,better hold your coins so that you would be able to sell your coins in profit. |

If you hold the coins when its go down, you will not lose any money because you will not withdraw it when you will not gain profit. In holding coins, if the price is going up again you can sell it so that you can earn profit but its take too much time. |

If you hold the coins when its go down, you will not lose any money because you will not withdraw it when you will not gain profit. In holding coins, if the price is going up again you can sell it so that you can earn profit but its take too much time. No one will sell their coins when price is going down and in that case everyone will prefer to hold and wait for the price to go higher and as of now the best thing to do is to hold as price has fallen and if you sell now then it will affect your profits very badly so wait for the right time to sell your coins. |

And if you are trading bitcoin, the past days bitcoin price declined as a result I think some of the holders panic and sell their bitcoin and instead of having a profit, They lose and the winners are people who have big bank roll. They buy at low price then maybe they sell their bitcoin now or maybe they just holding it again to wait for another pump from the coin.

These past few days bitcoin price has downtrend and most of it think it will continues to drop. Even me also got panic and dont know what to do because of this upcoming on aug1. But if we could realize and focus on the goal that we would like to achieve we can think of earning profit. So it is best for me to hold and we can earn more in bitcoin in the future. |

yes that is right bitcoin price has now pickup the acceleration and you need to hold bitcoin as much as you can. because it is expected that very soon the prce of bitcoin will cross all time high price and will even continue increasing. |

Just wait for the price to rise again. You are just donating money if you bought at competitive price and will just sell it at lower price. The market is on green today and many are getting profit already. |

Initially, it has nothing to do with your holdings. Second, I think that it is possible we may see a price hike once again before August 1 kicks in.
Waiting is a better option here but if you feel that the price is taking some zigzag moves, I say just take the advantage of it by selling a bit higher and buying back at the "dumps" you are talking about. Check the levels and patterns as well as what the indicators show and do accordingly.
Remember, even this could prove more risky as well as more loss could take place if you don't do it right.

Agreed! That’s pretty obvious from the current scenario that bitcoin prices are going to increase even beyond expectations after the Segwit. Holding on to bitcoins while prices are dumping definitely pays off when market is going up again. Those who kept bitcoins in their wallets in last couple of months will be the chosen ones to be on the top of world after Segwit. |
