Nobody exactly knows what will happen on 1st Aug. We cannot say that big pump is coming after 1st Aug. We will need to just wait and find out exactly how does thing takes place and will BCC come into picture and its survival in this market.

I'm just sure that after August 1 we will see a big rise in the price of bitcoin. And for a long time there will be growth. The network bitcoin becomes stronger and bitcoin will soon become a very stable currency. That's why bitcoin must be kept

Its a perfect time to HODL, only good things can come from segwit and I look forward to sending transactions with low fees and fast confirmation again.

I have recently took investing on poloniex serious. Ever since I've invested the alt coins have been down.

I have observed that most ICOs when the token sale ends and we have fudsters and bounty hunters who either speculate to kill the price and buy cheap coins for themselves or bounty hunter who will dump coins at the investor's expense which usually is temporal no need to panic because you might end up falling in their trap as prices sure recover for the good projects.

Do the amount of coins I posses go up if I stay. Also, do I have to wait for the coins to go back to their original price that I bought fo in order to make a profit? What are the reasons to holding if prices are down? Thank-you.

The value going up will depend on the strength of the project and how much support its getting from its community if it has those attributes its worth the wait

Best thing to do is ALWAYS hold your bitcoins, it will always keep growing, doesnt matter what. Just take a look at the chart since 2009, bitcoin had bearish times but always is in bullish trend, it is a good investment, keep your bitcoins, you wont regret.

BCC is just a crap, a promising coin for those miner that thinks they will gonna upgrade the current bitcoin scaling problem. But in reality, some miner supported this project for personal interest. If this coin become successful, those miner who supported earlier will gonna bag tons of cash comes from late investor that adapt BCC. It's a trap.

Essentially, every altcoin is crap. Despite all the features they offer, and quite often get praised for, the only form of usage these coins enjoy is purely speculative -- people simply don't care about the gimmick features that they offer. One way or another, every altcoin that has already been launched, and will be launched in the future, is a get rich quick tool for the developers. BCC perfectly fits in that category. BCC will be nothing more than a pump and dump asset for gamblers.

It depends when you entered the trade. Many people don't take their entry point seriously. Trading is a games of professional and you have to develop your expertise in other to understand how it works. Holdings when the price is going against you  depends on your knowledge on how the trading analysis work! I suggest to hold your bitcoin, because I think segwit had no effect on bitcoin price. But if you are a altcoins lover I it depends on altcoins you have because most of the altcoins were declining the price. I was hoping that it was not happen continuously.

In my own opinion to hold is the best option now because i believe bitcoin value will reach $4,000 before end of the year. whoever can hold from now till end the end December ,2017 will have the course to thank me for my forecast because when the time come so many people will pronounce had i know i would have bought bitcoin when the value was around $2,500. Soto avoid such regret it is better to hold pending when it appreciate to the level of your take profit before you sell.   

Yes I’m agree with this option of hold, because as the time passes the values of bitcoin increases and now a days some people suffer from this lack of bitcoins but I will sure you that this lack is only remain at the end of July in the start of august the prices will rise again.

But everyone know that nothing bad will happen because bitcoin is much more beneficial to everyone and because of that no one will leave it and if no one will leave it then nothing bad will happen, but after 1st august once again the time of bitcoin start and bitcoin will increase in value.

if a person is holding bitcoin right now then he should wait for some more time tell 1st August and then should see the trend of the investors. my personal view is that most of the people are still holding bitcoin because they are very much confident about  the price of bitcoin that bitcoin price will continue increase and will even make new all time high record.

Bitcoin price fluctuate a lot, but sometimes it reach higher peak. So the idea of invest on bitcoin is buy low and sell high, buy whenever dip occurs and wait for it rise to sell. If you are on loss, then you should wait a little longer for bitcoin gain more value as it always did.
Investing on bitcoin in long term more likely give profits instead of loss obviously, but all you need is to be patient and wait until that day come.

Keep holding until the price comes up again, that's best choice you have. We all know patience is the key to win, keep calm and don't panic sell. If your choose for cut loss that's fine but can you deal with the loss you have?. See again your graphic market price chart and use long time period to predict where the price going. Holding will be best option at this day. We may not know if the price tomorrow or on August 1 will be breaking the line of $3,000 and it will go forward and in a positive manner. You have no option but to hold, if you are in good altcoins, the prices will recover but we do not know how long that will be, the reason to hold is so you do not lose money it is as simple as that, you should have waited since it was obvious those prices could not be maintained.

When you invest, do you identify long-term or short-term investment?
That will help answer your question easier.
If long-term investment you don't need to worry about its current price, and if the short-term investment then you should sell and reverse the portfolio to keep your money safe.

If you are an investor instead of a trader, then I will say there is not such a thing as a short term investor, you need to invest and hold for a long time, we know that in crypto things can move very fast so long term in this scenario may mean holding for a few years but even then, that should be the spirit of a true investor, if you are not going to hold for that long then it is better to not hold at all.

Why not set stop loss point before create order? Remember patience the price of altcoin recovery in current very bad, because we don't know the time altcoin bounce again and change trend. So, have stop loss will helps you can buy again as in current or yesterday when dip price.

i think the price of bitcoin is still trading in a good mood. in fact bitcoin price does not fell down as people were worried about, the price is still trading above 2700$ that is really a very stable price, and i a am sure that after tomorrow event the price will boost up and very soon will even cross 4000$ level. i think we can even expect the price to continue increase for a long time.

I still can not even dream that the price will exceed 4000 dollars. Especially when you consider that now everyone is talking about a split.
Bitcoin can achieve such a high price only after 6-8 months
