I had a Wire Transfer that took 28 calendar days to be recognized by Bitmain. Even though it got to their bank overnight. It just did not get picked up by Bitmain. All that time my order was listed as " Unpaid " "Expired". It was not a comfortable situation. Customer support would not respond because to them this is very common. They will only answer you once they see your money actually credit to their account. Then they will change the order status and mark your case resolved. Wire Transfers are the worst form of payment and money transfer on the planet. ESPECIALLY international transfers. I will never use one again.
Same. I ordered my L3+ for the May batch and paid with wire transfer withing 24hours. Bitmain never managed to confirm the payment in time so they bumped me to July batch and I asked them for a free power supply atleast for getting the miner 2 months later and they they actually agreed to it. I'm not paying with a transfer ever again really. Better make that money crypto and pay them like that. It's even easier for people without capital controls like me (1000euro transfer per month limit)

Strange situation. My wire (swift) payment was recognised in 2 days after being sent.

This is actually untrue. They are doing very well considering their position. They are manufacturing and distributing new cutting edge technology throughout the world in a very difficult space. Their supply chain is constrained by being well down the list on the Chipmakers priorities. In addition, they are dealing with internal pressure from the Chinese government and trading across a multi national customer base. To the contrary. Bitmain is an impressive company that is adjusting very well to some very difficult circumstances.

They also sell to the public when they have product and don't burn their customers.

and, by surprise, they have all miners available I even placed a fake order for D3 via wire transfer, and instead of sending me invoice they send a shit email saying: " Thank you for your order. Your order is on-hold until we confirm payment has been received. " and that's all First way of checking the legit seller is to request invoice for a wire payment with thier banking details. Scammers always fail to give you the banking details. Or they "only accept" bitcoin payment which are not traceable.

They even created a scam replica site for the payment's provider, in order to look legit: www.coinpaymentS.net insted of www.coinpayment.net They even sent me an email from noreply@coinpayment S.net : " Thank you for using CoinPayments.net! To complete your checkout, send 0.41593000 BTC to 32Acfmno9WAWRLfzmSQwdzRJ7c79cmvU5J within 1 day, 2 hours, 30 minutes (make sure you leave enough time to get 2 confirms before the time limit!). " why so long time? 1 day, 2 hours, 30 minutes Real Bitmain asks for 1 hour -------------------- UPDATE: www.coinpaymentS.net are really swindlers, as they stole a lot or Ripple from the customers - there is petition on facebook called "Petition for Coinpayments.NET to return customer's Stolen Ripple Coins" - https://www.facebook.com/groups/1986688654888260/So stay away from this scammer too. They seem to be a mutual gang with bimain S.com

People were buying the L3+ on amazon for $6,000.00 a month ago, because they saw the profit was showing at $1500.00 USD per unit, per month. They did not take into account the reality that once those units hit the network the units would drop in their production due to difficulty rising. Now those people will take 10-12 months to pay off that $6,000.00 machine. The very same will happen to the D3, only worse, because there are so many going to flood the network. DO NOT BUY MACHINES AFTERMARKET AT HUGE MARK UPS!! The only one who will make money on that is the bastard that sold it to you.

If they can't do simple math it's their money. If they want to ROI 10 months after, it's still their choice. No seller forced it to them.

The antminers are web managed. You connect the miner to the network... wait 1-3 min for dhcp, do a network scan and open the antminer via http. Then use this: user root password root If you like to setup more than 1 miner, you can download from bitmain support web the "BitmainMinerTool" Have a nice day and sorry for my bad english, i am latin american

Does anyone know if you will be able to use this for other X11 coins? I am currently on the lookout for one to mine altcoins with.

Yes, you can mine any x-11 coin. You just have to set it up to a pool that has that coin and it won't differentiate from Dash or any other X-11. Darkcoin is dead though, I'm not sure what other X-11 exist. Edit: found a decent list of X11 mineable currencies: http://www.coins2day.com/x11-coins-mining-software.html

I'm sure you can set it up for solo mining but the only way you'd find a block is by having hundreds of miners or mine a near dead coin.
