I would like to know what is hassle free and easiest way to redeem BCH(BCC) using private keys. I have secured my Bitcoins by sending them at other place. Now question is about some light wallet without downloading the whole chain. Did some tried something to redeem easily through some wallet ?
Their main SPV wallet is ElectronCash, but that is not recommended as a wallet. You should use a VM, and delete everything after you're done.

i can't believe that a free frok coin can sell at 0.48 BTC on bittrex .what happen to this word ??that is so crazy
Use your brain before posting. The reason for that is because deposits are disabled. As soon as they fix their system, this shitcoin will be dumped.

no, it's called freedom.

no one is forced to buy or sell anything, if someone is willing to pay 0.48BTC what do you care? that's how free markets work.

Hi, please help me...

Trying to import my private keys of BTC wallet into Electron Cash but nothing comes in balance...

I had a BTC Armory wallet 1 containing my BTC on 26th July. I exported the private keys. I now have 4 private keys for this wallet, like "5J...........................cA"

On 1st August I moved my BTC to a new Armory wallet 2, about this transaction, Armory tells me the Lock-Time is Block 478557 and that the Tx is included in Block 478558. I exported the private key (one, for this wallet).

Later on 1st August, I moved my BTC to a new Armory wallet 3, about this transaction, Armory tells me the Lock-Time is Block 478589 and that the Tx is included in Block 478591. I exported the private keys (two, for this wallet).

On 2nd August, I moved my BTC to a new Armory wallet 4, about this transaction, Armory tells me the Lock-Time is Block 478726 and that the Tx is included in Block 478728. I exported the private keys (two, for this wallet).

On 3rd August, I moved my BTC to a new Armory wallet 5, and I did not export the private keys.

So, i I understand well, I must import the 4 private keys from wallet 1 into Electron ?
I did it, but no BCC in balance.

I tried the other private key from wallet 2, 3 and 4. Nothing.

I also tried to Sweep all the privates keys, still nothing.

Electron is configured to NOT Select server automatically, Proxy tab is set to Use SSL and NONE, and Server tab set to use server electroncash.cascharia.com at port 50002, it says :
Connected to 10 nodes
Blockchain : 478585 blocks
Chain split detected at block 478559
Your server is on branch 651ef99cb9 (27 blocks)

So... please help, I don't understand...

To import a private key, you only need to paste "5J...........................cA", nothing else, right ?

Thank you very much

you can trade just can't withdraw/deposit yet. block are taking long should start speeding up a bit now the difficulty has adjusted. they have to wait to make sure miners mine it. viabtc is letting you deposit but I have been waiting forever for confirmations. Good thing is they let you trade with just 1 confirmation but you can't withdraw till you get 20.

But reality is a bit different, then it's written on their website.
They writing it should be deposited after one block,
but no, no. Already sent 12 blocks before, still zero confirmation on their site,
so be careful with them.

Well this is interesting..I have 100 btc ...bitcoin cash came out.....so I made like say 70,000 usd when
(BCH)guessing at $700 usd when BCH, hit the world. Thus according to my CPA and the link below, if you are a US Citizen you need to pay taxes on this supposedly) In that IF you held bitcoin more than 1 year and 1 day at 20% capital gains. If less than, 1 yr and 1 day its at 40% capital gains.

So again, say BTH hit the world at 700 bucks ..that is 70,000 usd and I'd owe the IRS on this pump of money
out of thin air 14,000 usd at 20% capital gains...even if within the week it drops to $12.

link

https://makebitcoingreatagain.wordpress.com/2017/08/02/bitcoin-cash-and-taxes/

MY strategy is to 'ignore' this....in that I HAVE NOT MADE A WALLET YET and as far as income
goes for mining...if it has not hit my (not made yet) bitcoin cash (BCH) address and wallet...that don't exist.

Otherwise, stuff like byteball (based on airdrop of btc address) and say bitcore...or other air drop'd
coins would simply...add value to my account without my knowledge...and then dump after the pump.
With you 'unknowingly' holding the bag...till the nice IRS man told you such Sad

AGAIN THIS IS EVEN IF IT GOES TO NOTHING IN THE FUTURE...STILL, OWE ON THE INITIAL PUMP.
..again this is w/o any action on your part or you making a wallet. Nor any control on alt coins or
further bitcoin forks ...making money on a nice pump and dump racket, at your expense.

Myself, I am going with the idea, that if BCH has not hit my Bitcoin Classic (BCH) address wallet..yet (virgin)
..(does not exist) ...it is NOT income yet (like
mining...taxed when it hits your wallet and btc address, not the instant is it mined) because I shall claim 'cluelessness' of BCH existence until say in the future it is pointed out by the nice IRS man that I DO have free money. I will then 'gush' thank you and pay the taxes
if it keeps value, or I grovel, bit time,  and pay the above taxes, even when or if it dumps to 12 bucks.

This to me seems the ONLY sensible solution, otherwise....EVERYONE with any significant BTC will go to jail I guess..especially if the coin tanks to 2 bucks. I can't see a lot of people mentioning this to their CPA etc.

Can you imagine Satoshi coming out to the world and as soon as he claims from say one of his 100,000 btc wallets,
a previous never used, BTC wallet (if he is a USA citizen) the IRS coming along and saying, hey Satoshi, you also owe on a further 14 million
dollars of air drop'd BCH Bitcoin Cash out of the 700,000 BCH windfall...we will take a 14 million dollar check Smiley

Anyway, these are just my thoughts. I agree it is unlikely and unworkable, but the IRS is suing coinbase for ALL its customer base records,
so that does not mean they will not try to be this stupid about this...this would be a great way to keep your job at IRS ..stupid or
not..all that shiny money to the IRS coffers! Smiley

Thoughts?

(Again all this is speculative and unlikely to amount to anything...but does get one's attention) Smiley

Thanks for reading this unlikely horror story and rant.

Take the poll, please.

I sent my bitcoin cash to a BTC address by mistake. Please what do i do. Value is $1000 help me and ill pay you $300

Very Experienced people only

How was the BTC address generated?  Was this a deposit address on an exchange?

No, its my btc address on another wallet app

Which wallet app?  Are you able to get at the private keys?

If so, your BCH are probably safe and sound and you'll just need to import/sweep the appropriate private keys back into your Bitcoin Cash wallet (move off any BTC at the same address before you provide the private key to your Bitcoin Cash wallet for safety).

If not then get technical support for the specific app you sent the BCH to (there are plenty of dedicated threads on this forum).  All you need to ask is how to get the private keys.  If you can't get them (because the app provider holds your coins or because the app has an intrinsic multi-signature setup) then you will need the provider specifically for help retrieving your BCH (don't hold your breath).

Seems like deposits, withdrawals of the Toilet Spanning Cash will take much longer to process, approximately 5 years for a single transaction, look network is stalled and has zero chance to ramp up. Cant believe this retarded shit has a 7 billion usd valuation, thats currently on parity with gross domestic product of romania and makes u wonder why culianu was initially that opposed to segwit. This is because he wanted a helping hand for the economics of his country and this fork appears to be the best candidate for that.

It takes about 1 hour per block

so total Hashrate must be about 23 time smaller than BTC

Calc:

Difficulty BTC (10Min)  / BCC (60Min)  = 860 221 984 436 / 225 505 642 691  =  3.8

3.8 * 6 = 22.9

Hashrate BTC : Network total   6 198 920 Thash/s

/ 22.9

>  283 056 Thash/s   für BCC total

Hi Guys,

One question, maybe a stupid question but I would like to know if it is safe to redeem BCC's.
I have a few BTC's (life savings) and I am wondering what is the safest way to redeem BCC's and if it is safe.

What is the safest way to redeem BCC's?

Thanks.

It's a good one.
In general:
Send your BTC to a new address to "save" them and then use the old BTC addresses where the BTC is send from for the new BCC client.

I did:
1. Have all BTC in a Electrum wallet before the fork.
2. Send all BTC from the Electrum Wallet1 to a brand new Electrum Wallet 2 (with new seed!) after the fork.
3. Install Electron BitcoinCash client on a new Computer (yes I bought for 200 bugs a new convertible)
4. Copy your old empty BTC wallet to the new computer with the Electron Client and open this Electrum Wallet with the Electron client -> you have your new BCC available for whatever you want.
5. Send your BCC to any other BCC address and go on holiday or wait frustrated several hours until the first confirmation.

ViaBTC does allow trade after 1 but confirmation, not a block.
While sending BCC from Electron and choosing the fee you can see hints how many blocks it would take to get the tx confirmed.
I chose the fee to get it with 1 block and see my BCC on the exchange with the next block found

BCC blocks are not full, so it's very likely that your tx gets in the first mined block, even with low fee.
