I am starting to think that this project will not fork to dump ASICs power.... pity......
What if in an alternative universe some big ASIC company offered a few machines to the developers of a coin?
I alwasy heard that money buys everything....
Will developers accept asics anf forget the fork...
this is just a though to an alternative universe, not this universe....

Please don't look everything Black and white!  Team is consist from a 50 members and we all have different opinions about almost every matter. Community has major influence and we listen to community! But this does not mean that we are going to rush into this fork without investigating how Zk-Snarks works under the new conditions..Those and many other factors must be taken in considaretion, without intensive testings we cannot change anything. We have working product, and the last what we need is to destroy it.. This is our main concern to continue improving project not to destroy it prematurely. |

I have been debating on selling my gpus too and reduce some debt, but keeping my better gpus. Are all yours 1080ti?
I have 232 x GPU's. 58 x EVGA 1080 Ti FTW3 and 12 x EVGA 1070 Ti. All the rest are AMD RX 480's and R9 Fury's. I'm going to sell all of them over the next 30 to 40 days. I'll hold onto the motherboards, power supplies, power distribution units, CPU's, RAM and SSD's for "possible" future use. I may sell all the other stuff as well and focus entirely on trading and my future trading/education website. Scroll down here on page 6 of this thread to see my remodeled mining room. Securenodes now 20pct more profitable than supernodes despite supernodes working under harsher criteria’s. Guess a result of Supernode FOMO last week.

if fork was voted by hashpower i think at this moment ASIC´s will win. If the opinions/votes was - one man one vote, no matter what, i think GPU wins, hands down.
We also need to protect this project from 51% attacks in the future and some would say that this is priority especially if we are talking about adoptation which is crucial for the future of every project. I won't argue with you should we or should not fork (I totally understand you), we have official statement from the Team regarding this. When im claiming zencash on your faucet, said that my wallet address is not transparent. Its having an error. Can you help me pls. It was working yesterday and now I cant claim anymore.

Has the process of building nodes and supernodes been semplified? I didn't follow recent updates but I remember that time ago it was still a quite complex nerdy thing. Not so much hard, at least for me as a newbie in this field. I was thinking it will be harder for me but no so much finally. I was blocked at a time but I joined the discord channel to ask and I found my problem as easy as 1.2.3. with people in. |

Bingo! I recognized this as an issue after the 51% attacks happened. It really re-frames the whole GPU vs. ASIC debate. |
