Yea there is no way they will pull this off.  Mining on a phone is just a joke.  They'll probably just credit those people coins for having the app running and call that mining.

If they are joking means how can people invest dumbly without knowing the actual reason behind it. So we have till the end of the ICO so we can know more details about the project and mobile mining.

That's not true, it can be pulled off, just like Bytecoin is able to be mined by something as weak as a $100 android tablet.  It just won't be very profitable, but it can probably be done in the background while you use your phone for other things I'd imagine.

Nooooo, there is no "mining" on the phone, they arbitrarily give you coins for running an app in the background. Read the whitepaper. It's a gimmick.

So to just get this right, you're running an app, it has to be on, and then randomly you're selected to receive a coin? Pure luck, no effort on your or the phones part, apart from having the app on? Will we get spam ads on top to really fuck us off?

Basicly yes.You have to do nothing , but leave the app on...That "randomly" also is related on how the results of the benchmark will be , let's say that the more "powerfull" your phone is the more coins you will get.
Also you can play games to gain a few more coins.
As for the ads, i really hope that they will keep it as clear as possible...if it annoys people, it would really be harmfull to the project. I hope there will be as few as possible, or none.......

This is not true, technical whitepaper says it will be POW, cryptonight algorithm (http://electroneum.com/technical-white-paper.pdf). I am wondering how smartphones can compete with desktop/laptop CPU.

I just checked the website again, and I am not getting a timer. Got this: https://imgur.com/IBmrvqZ which is awesome (it doesn't match the stats I posted earlier because I am guessing it is still getting updated as the final transactions before closing continue to go through).

Also, when you log into your account, there is a message from Richard Ells regarding the hard cap being reached.

Most likely not ---- They would be using this time frame for 11 days to polish off the apps, the marketing and development strategies/path, make the "mobile miner experience" game more intuitive, etc. Plus, it creates more hype and demand.

I like the viral aspect of this, and many new ICO will copy. Of course people can call this the ICO of the year for certain, but im sure its a long road ahead.

Hope they do not drop the ball. Many ico are failures this year. Will this be another one? We shall see. .
