Finally someone hits the nail on the head. Majority of ETN community is first timers, and their naivety is really scaring me. Everyone hoping to convert $500 into a million on Nov1st. People just needs to be sensible and patient. Hopefully then we can avoid a huge initial dump.

There is almost always an initial dump after an ICO, especially true for coins you can mine as many miners just want instant profit, I don't worry about that at all. If you intend to hold on for the next year or so it really is not an issue.

I would welcome the weak handed or first timers to dump their coins as that would give me the chance to buy many more, for cheap. I also like to buy low, sell high and grab a few extra coins that way when I have some free time. I am sad I did not get the chance to grab more before the ICO ended, low early exchange price would be a massive boon for me. This is a long term project so we should not worry about the early days of trading.

By long term do you mean to expect good results within a year, or 2-4yrs.

I can't answer that one yet, it remains to be seen. I knew this project would have some popularity, but I never expected it to reach the crazy heights it did. I thought I would have more time to gather funds to invest. Anything can happen in crypto, it is such a volatile unpredictable market. Even experts are left eating their words sometimes.

I will see how things go, in a year it could have exponential growth or it may not, it could be one that takes 2-3 years to be at a level I want from my investment. Who knows. Time will tell, I'm just happy to be a part of it. I will of course be using the app and using my rig to mine some extra coins on launch, it is all part of the fun for me. The more the better.

Starting to get a bit cringed by the ETN community so far. Especially people expecting $1M from a $500 investment. Shows the naivety of the community. How can anyone in their right mind expect this coin to be $20 or $100 value. Even $1/coin will be a huge huge reach. I know there are a lot of first timers in the community but still guys be realistic. I will be happy with a $.30 value in the near future (which is at least 6months).

I get what you are saying and i agree with you too....also i think that you are also too optimistic about that 0.3
However we can not blame people for hoping and beeing optimisitic....And we need optimism in this damn world that is so pessimistic.
5 years ago if i could have come to you and say that bitcoin in the future could be worth 6k and more, maybe you would have give the same answer as here(and i could have give your same answer)
I dont think electroneum will be 1$ in the upcoming year...But if you ask me what will it be worth 2 or 3 years from now, well man, a 1$ could be somehow realistic, why not ...if it gets mass adoption, why not

Excellent point with the BTC comparison, no one could have expected that would happen. Anything could be possible in the long term (very long term), especially if it gets mass adoption, but some short term speculations are just too high.
In the meantime, I will continue to hold and will be thrilled if it reaches $0.20 sometime next year.

Why Electroneum can be worth a few bucks after a couple of months on the market?

I look at https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ripple/ and think it is very possible.

Ripple has more than 8x more coins circulating than ETN will have (4.4b),  more than 300 000 registers users.

Etn has marketing, momentum and hype on its side and above all it will targets mobile phone users, if i say $5-$10 within a year people will say impossible but in cryptocurrency world anything is possible, this market in particular is anything but rational. We have seen some sht coins go up  100x for no reason and no practical use in real wold.
