Well, the way I see it is bitcoin has a limited supply, originally it was about 21 million btc were to be released into the block chain and this supply was supposed to last us 100 years before it was all mined, in about 6 years we already mined 13 million btc, so imagine what will happen in 20 more years, I know that with each halving the mining gets a little harder, but as time goes one people never stop developing more advanced technology and powerful machines in order to make it easier, I am not saying that with all the bitcoin mined the bitcoin will stop growing or increasing, but bitcoin and the block chain technology must develop as time goes on in order to adapt to the advancement of other technologies.

Here it is not so important whether Bitcoin will remain in a hundred years, how the crypto currency will exist in a hundred years, and how deeply it will be integrated into our daily life. It is possible that after a certain time there will be a new modified digital currency with improved properties and it will already be called differently. This is not so important. However, I think that in honor of the first crypto currency, even an improved or another crypto currency will have the name Bitcoin.

I don't know if Bitcoin will survive for 100 years, but I think that blockchain (or an its evolution) will do.

I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential
I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well
But what do you think about it after 100 years ?
Yes. I do think that bitcoin will last after 100 years because bitcoin has come a long way since it had started with positive results. It’s price has continuously increased and is increasing till date. It has gained a lot of popularity through out these years. Increased popularity has resulted in increased usage of bitcoin. In the current times people from teen age group to old age group, all are using bitcoin. Bitcoin has many positive benefits because of which it has reached such great heights of success. Because of which people have gained faith and trust in bitcoin. So keeping in mind all the above things, I do think bitcoin will survive after 100 years because it has high potential and I believe in bitcoin.

Seriously i cant tell the future of bitcoin 100 years from now because obviously im totally dead at that time but what is in my thought is that, i think over a hundred years bitcoin will become history of cryptocurrency, for i think there are other alternative coins that will surpasses bitcoin.
Imagine over a hundred years there might be someone who is genius enough to create another alternative coins that will easily spread over the country.

Bitcoin will absolutely survive after 100 years. It's already survived with such a small group of people that believed in it, but now that the group of people that believe in it is growing, it's only going to get better from here since the code is open source.

We should always believe in ourselves and in bitcoin that it will survive more than one hundred years. Yes maybe it will disappear but im I think it will just transform into a better currency where it will helps other people to survive and help them to get out towards the poverty. Many people will get a new ideas and knowledge that gives them courage to do more things in order to survive in the society that they live in.

I don't think that bitcoin will survive after 100 years. Bitcoin is one of the best cryptocurrencies in the world. It's price is increasing day by day. People are using more and more bitcoin and it's business is increasing a lot. But that doesn't mean that it will last for 100 years. As the the technology is developing day by day, some new technology will develop which will take the place of bitcoin. It's so challenging for bitcoin to survive and maintain it's place for 100 years.

Researcher say in every 4 years the amount of bitcoin produce in a year get half and after 2041 the production of bitcoin will be stopped. So then there will be only existing bitcoin, no new one. After that the price could reach the moon. It’s a complex idea. No one can predict that.

100 years is too long for it to survive. My prediction to bitcoin after 100 years, even if it will survive, i think it will be worthless. Because there may be new cryptocurrencies that may rise in the future that are better than bitcoin and as a result, people will use that kind of crypto rather than bitcoin.

I'm sure bitcoin can last up to 100 years, this is because users are increasing and now market cap has reached more than $ 130 billion and this is a very large number.

100 years is a very long time, many things that are difficult to predict, the development of technological progress very rapidly, for example is the technology of communication and transportation, certainly would not have thought 100 years ago that the current communication can be like this.

100 years is really long time, so difficult to imagine what will happen in 100 years. Everything at that time will have a lot of changes, especially in digital currency technology. basically, no one knows about the future. but as a bitcoin user, i always believe that bitcoin will last forever like a dollar or any other currency. hopefully, bitcoin will be the global currency in the future.

Definitely will remain supporters of Bitcoin But soon something new will appear that will change the world.
Yes I agree. Change is inevitable. In 100 yrs bitcoin may survive with changes maybe. But whatever may happen in 100 years I believe bitcoin will be known along the way. Many lives will be change in a positive way.

It's so tough to talk about this, bitcoin will survive after 100 years if people make it popular and bitcoin must need more activity to survive 100 year. Hundred year is not a short time, it's a long time. Bitcoin need some to take some steps and people who can help it to survive 100 year.

Like 30 years ago, no one can imagine our digital life today. It is hard to imagine what it will be like 100 years later with the fast pace of digital revolution. Bitcoin may be gone and replaced by better coin, or it evolves and becomes an important part of daily life.

I'm sure today is the busiest day for bitcoin users, everyone gets profit and keeps counting the money because from the last 12 hours the price has gone up more than $ 700, with this fact I'm sure bitcoin can last up to 100 years.
