just 396 for intensity? for 470 it will give me very low hashrate
I would say it is enough on 2 threads. I don't remember my exact settings on 4GB cards. You can always find yourself the best cofing.

You can always find yourself the best cofing. generally is it correct this sentences or not? 1. intensity should be a multiply by worksize. for example if your worksize is 8 intensity should be 8,16,32,....,896,902,910,... 2. if we find best intensity for the a GPU if we use double thread we have to divided it by two. for example if you have one thread with 910 if you change it to 2 thread the intensity should be 455 for each card? 3. the fourmula for intensity is (GPUram/2)-128MB?

After Monero V8 hardfork my R9 280 video cards showed a small hashrate and gave a lot of errors. I tried different miners and choosed XMR-STAK with Win7-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-Edition-18.5.1-May23 drivers. Now I have hashrate up to 500 hashes per second and there are no errors.

looking for little assistance.
trying to run XMRIG-proxy on a VPS and point my rigs to it (this is how it is supposed to work, no? not an expert here). But can't figure out how to make it work.
how should I configure the VPS config file and the miner's config file?
thanks!

Is there a way to receive email notifications when a miner is down? Another question: which mode should I use? simple? proxy?

XMRig proxy probably doesn't have this feature, but you need to look at the Github. You need something like Awesome Miner to monitor it. It depends how many miners you have and what pool you use. Small pool and many miners = proxy. Big pool = whatever you prefer.

Not really, but it depends on the pool. If it allows you to mine to same address (if you mine to same wallet) without ban you it is completly fine. I don't know the pools limits, but I would say 20 at once is not a problem. Many pools have e-mail reports when your miner is down so you don't need any additional sw for that also.

The proxy won't create any rejected share or very rarely, the miners will do some always sooner or later.
