I went again through the whitepaper, what i think will differentiate this project from the online marketplace we are used to is the rewarding system they are going to implement. This will basically create a market into the market where users get rewarded by promoting and adding value to products being on sale.
People can get rewarded with USR tokens and make some profit out of it.
At the moment the closest thing to this in market like ebay and amazon is the review of the product, some are very good but none of these get any reward. Think about it
Yes they get rewarded that's why I'm scared if some groups focusing on rewards pop up, if they will be able to gain a huge amount of SCT they can drive the price up and down as they please If you put it that way it reminds me of advertisements, but there is still difference: with advertisements the seller hires a marketing studio, while with Soma the reviewers choose which product they prefer.

Soma already raised enough money to launch the project no matter the amount raised, its really nice, you can already know that the project will go on. And with the potential of soma, I think investors will continue to come, and the project will have a great value.
They will use additional funds to help advertise their business and other marketing campaigns

After ICO you can buy remaining SOMA tokens on their platform. Also interesting: "Soma will provide a "liquidity reserve" of SCT, which will only be utilized in a theoretical situation, for instance, if after the ICO the SCT is not liquid enough to support the functioning of the Soma platform." From whitepaper.
They wont burn it? Dont like that idea, i hope it doesnt backfire back on them. I dont see the reason of doing that since their ICO is going quite good. They will sell remain tokens on platfrom?? Why not burn? Please devs burn the tokens. If you don't burn them your project will get dumped after the ICO.

Also they are counting on their concept of interactive item cards which is now patent-pending. The idea is good but they will need quite some time for IIC to be implemented and regularly used by people.

It was a similar problem for all the social media. I would say the dedication of Soma team is good and only good can happen with it.

I can understand not burning them but selling tokens on platform is not a good way. They can make a second ico sometime later or they can hold it for sometime and if the market is ready they can sell on the exhanges. This are way better ways if unsold tokens won't be burned.

Then we just have to make sure they reach hard cap! Everyone tweet and spread the word about SOMA , no problems when they hit hard cap. Maybe we just have to wait until devs explains this why they dont burn leftover.

Burning is not the only possibility to create value for token. It depends so much how they will use those spare tokens. Those could have some real pr value if the spreading of it is done right. If there's a successful PR campaign done with them, dilution is not really a problem.

Devs made official announce about burning tokens? May be they will burn them. Just wait announce Burnin is not the only way but is certainly the best way after ICO, that will benefit investors, which a project shoudl always appreciate, so SOMA, by burning the tokens, will increase supply, and by default increase the price eventually, now if there is a better way, I am for it too.

Its true that soma could even reach the hard cap, and doesn’t need to burn the remaining token. But burn is not that bad, that just readjust the supply to fit with the realy market and no remaining token for nothing, it’s a solution of the hard cap is not reached.
