I like that middle one with the standard socket but in the description it says Intel J1800 2.4 GHz Dual Core Processor so it makes me wonder. I almost didn't see the 4 1x PCIe slots near the sata and molex connectors. Makes me wonder too - always verify with seller on the actual items with pictures etc. Personally, I prefer all 6pin power connectors (eventually getting rid of PICO too) Meanwhile, DHL sent me a reminder for the delivery of 9 x slot mobo; end of day 19 Oct. I have identified an existing RX470 rig for testing. BTW, inspired by generalt, I have changed my signature to my permanent BTC address for this Bitcointalk account. Its going to be my tip jar to raise money for plane ticket to Labrador, Canada -- LOL! Just kidding, dont send anything to this address ONDA B250-BTC-D8P board (Phil check this out - custom CPU, DDR4)https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/2017-New-12-PCIE-Motherboard-Manufacturer_60699584995.html?spm=a2700.details.maylikever.9.4dc4ffe5MQkqOzI would do a group buy for this. we need to buy 20 pieces. I have never done a deal with alibaba but I want this board. Maybe test 1 unit first Phil to be on safe side. Negotiate for 1 x unit first as testing/demo unit. Also, negotiate for lower quantity, like 10 pieces for competitive pricing - because its a 2017 board and we are already towards end of the year. I just found this board, and its interesting to see 8 x PCI 16X slots and 4 x PCI 1X The only thing I dont like about this board is that 3 x molex, 3 x sata power, meaning you will need an ATX PSU to get the rig up. I need to go to a meeting for some political crap tonight. When I get back I will send him an email. Phillip, Let me know what they say. I am awaiting the funds from my insurance company to rebuild my mining farm, if it works i may go in on like 10 of them with you. I have the D1800 on the way already for testing, but if this is truly capable of powering 8 cards, id rather go with 8 gpu's per rig over 6. I just got back. I am going to offer to buy 13. 1 to test then 12 more once it works.

I will try it with no molex.
Maybe I am wrong.
still dead.
whether or not molex in or out.
But since I know I put one molex in backwards yesterday and got a pop its dead.
I am mailing this off to spotswood he is going to design a case for it.
Here's a simple model of an open-air frame for the Onda motherboard: I'm undecided if an enclosed case is really necessary for this board. -Rich

Just using some cardboard and duct tape is an easy solution (at least to test).

Okay I have been talking on alibaba with seller about the 12 card unit m12 I asked for a sample and then an order of 12. They also sell the 6 card model I sent to spotswood. the 12 pcie looks promising you can put in a nice i5 6400t cpu may need the i5 7400t but every single b250 or z250 works with the i5 6400t and or i5 7400t and an 8gb of stick of ram. put in 8 cards use linux or windows

The eagle has landed... The compute card included 64gb mssd, 4gb ddr4 sodimm and a kaby lake CPU.... hmmmm interesting. I prefer this over the other one that Phil is looking at because this board is 100% powered by 7 x 6pins pcie Side by side with D1800, which also arrived today.

Hah, PCI based CPU, neat solution. Obviously we're not trying to win Blender world records here, so why the hell not...

Hah, PCI based CPU, neat solution. Obviously we're not trying to win Blender world records here, so why the hell not... i think it is fan free so one fan will be need to cool it. maybe you can do all 9 gpus. looking at the 9 card pcie design mobo and looking at the m12 8 full 4 riser pcie mobo both have a few design flaws and both look okay. I am awaiting a reply on my sample order for the 12 card board. She will be billing my paypal account. sample board will be 120.00 = mobo 50.00 = fast dhl 8.50 = paypal fee 178.50 = total I told her I would be reselling a lot and could do an order a month. If this works out I will front all monies and try to order 10-15 at a time. I will mark up just a bit. 5-10% over my cost. Most likely I will handle a lot of them hopefully. I will most likely do USA sales only. But maybe someone in Europe that wants to can get 10-15 from me on a reship. We all know the game by now gear is hard to come by and be careful ordering. Once paypal was offered with a 5% surcharge ordering was easy for me.

Also ask for freebies, or a good discount on that PSU that you wanted -- when there is an purchase order on the table -- the sales people will ask find a way to get the discount you want.

Some update on the 9 x PCI slot motherboard. The cables provided are 6pins on both ends, but the socket along the PCI slots are all female 8pins... I assume that I could use the 6pin when inserted far right. I have done odd connections like this in the past when dealing with Bitmain PSUs. I am waiting for confirmation from vendor so that I can be sure before I power it up. A single Delta 2400w PSU would have no problems with this board. Question is .... what GPU was this board intended for? My guess will be 1060/1070 or RX470/480.
