Ok Daggeteo, just emailed me this. So anyone with any questions and concerns that want them asked tomorrow;
<snip>

AND DON'T FORGET TO THANK HIM!!!

Just did. Only .01 BTC, but I'z poor Smiley

Haha, geezer! Grin Cool

I meant type 'thank-you for taking the time to ask this shizzle!'...I'm sure he'll be grateful for any acknowledgement other than being taken for granted!!! Wink

Geezer?!? Not yet, I hope. My kid ain't even in school yet, you young whippersnapper!  Cheesy Grin

seriously, though, I thought thank you with a tip was better than just thank you. Spent a lot of my life working for tips Tongue

Language barrier again buddy, sorry!; http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=geezer Cool

Meant to have been a compliment!!

Damn! You're giving me a crash course in British slang Smiley Maybe I should tip you. I won't derail it further, except I always wondered why it was "Geezer" Butler in Black Sabbath. Makes more sense now.

Once again, here's the mentality of the key principal who created the queue mess and knows exactly what's what when it comes to VAT.

Keep alive

SalanIT have devised a process of keeping your hardware good for much longer. The biggest problem in most charities is old slow computers. These computers were not always slow. So we are often asked what has made them slow. The answer is sometimes that the hardware is faulty, but most of the time its caused by software. Software that has been installed on a machine that it was not designed to run on.

Taking the latest version of office and placing it on a machine that was developed in the late 90's is not such a good idea. SalanIT can build the machine to the standard that it was when it was new allowing the machine to run the software that is the same age as its self. This alone will allow\ yo to use the machines for many more years to come.

After all can you tell me the last time you used a function that was not in Office 95.

Keep alive is available to all customers not just charities. if you8 would like more information then please call the number is as always at the bottom of the page

About SalanIT

SalanIT was setup by Sam Cole after 6 years of working freelance on his own for large companies. The Aim behind SalanIT it to show all companies that they to can have an IT infrastructure to be proud of.

SalanIT believe as a company they can help organizations of any size see the potently that a well looked after IT infrastructure can have on the companies profits. Lots of IT consultancies want to show off that they know all about the latest and greatest technologies available where as SalanIT believe in that if it isn't broke don't fix it. All improvements cost money and if the benefit of upgrading to a new system is not worth we will tell you. Straight up and honest. We are here not to sell you what ever we want but to help you gain the most out of what you have got.

SalanIT have and Idea called Keep Alive. its a simple one. The pc you purchased 3 years ago was state of the art back then and you often find your self asking "why is it so slow?" Well the Answer is not an easy one, Some people tell you that is has just got old, Others will tell you that it the newer ones that make it look slow. SalanIT say its the software. It has been updated to the latest and greatest software since it was bought and now it cant cope any more. But i will ask you this can you tell me when the last time you used a function in your current version of software that was not in the last one, and if you can, you are among the very few. SalanIt say this. If you have an old pc that you want for the Spear desk when the boss from the head office visits. Do they really need the latest an greatest. No, well then let him/her use windows 98 and office 97 they only want to check emails anyway. This is what we call Keep Alive. We will use it in all companies of all sizes and its what sets us apart from the competition.

Visit http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://SalanIT.com if you enjoy reading such wonderful prose.

Umm your point being?

I use PG rants as a gauge, sure he is tedious but if there is something amiss he'll find it, and this last post is kind of mild/irrelevant... It seems he's running low on ammo.  Wink

Once again, here's the mentality of the key principal who created the queue mess and knows exactly what's what when it comes to VAT.

I'm confused by the word: "go around"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go-around
A go-around is an aborted landing of an aircraft that is on final approach

In this particular case, I presume he is referring to the revolution of the fans with respect to the movement they make.

Chill guys, I'm getting messages abut hearing from the open day and I'm not even the one going!

It's just about midday there (they are GMT+1).

Those that have kindly gone, some may have travel, be hungry, want to do a bit more of their own research before reporting, work, family etc.

I doubt you can expect to hear anything for 6-12 hours minimum, so chill.

When the guys going (over the next couple of days) are good, and ready they will report. I'd rather that, then they balls up their relay of information due to feeling hungry, pressured, or rushed or under any kind of expectation to do anything other than what their gut tells them. So let them digest what they will have seen, and heard, and give an honest unbiased account.

Relax. Go and enjoy some sunshine! Cool
