Hashing on SGminer with standard clock GPUs mining SGB - this pool rejects a lot of shares. I mean a lot of shares. Same miner same settings on any other DGB pool and it's all sweet.

Hi, I watched this video and I try to start cgminer 4.10 for windows. I copy the code as it shows in the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5Yl-mCydpM

however, it tells me no devices detected.

The code I enter is: cgminer.exe --icarus-options 115200:1:1 -o stratum.dgb.theblocksfactory.com:9001 -u CryptocurrencyWorld.Digi_devicey -p X$
pause

I am total newbie in mining and I would appreciate if you could help me to understand what I need to fix in my .bat file.

Thank you in advance.

What kind of joke is this? It's not funny.

I am hashing on TBF on DGB Groestl and there is a constant "Job Not Found" error. Why is it we are submitting so many invalid shares for this damn coin on these pools? there is no answer, no advice, no fix... You cannot contact Admins.

This is why PoW is failing. Not to mention the constant DDoSing of pools.

"however, it tells me no devices detected. "

I found this happens if you try to use it with an AMD card. It only works with NVidia cards.

sgminer is for AMD but it doesn't work. Sad

Hi Everyone,

Bear with me, this is my first attempt at mining and I'm not sure that I'm doing it right. I installed cgminer and ccminer and have them both running with the information in the .bat files. The cgminer doesn't seem like it's doing anything as all the numbers at the top are set to 0 and it says I have no devices. The ccminer is running though and my GPU (GTX 1080) is definitely having a workout because the fans are running and it's at about 75C. The prompt for ccminer is running the messages that say for example "accepted 76/76 (diff30.389) 3604.34 mh/s yes!". When looking at the digibyte pool site though, under my workers all the numbers there are also 0. Like I said, I'm very new to this and have no experience whatsoever with mining. I have my receive address for my digibyte wallet entered under my account but I don't know that I'm going to receive anything. If anyone can let me know if what I'm doing is right or if I have this all screwed up, I would appreciate any help.

Here is what I'm getting when I run the miners http://imgur.com/a/J7cZ4

The ccminer seems like it's working fine but the cgminer doesn't look like it's finding anything.

Here is what I have in both the batch files for the ccminer and cgminer http://imgur.com/a/OYIKj

The site says that you get a deposit after each 40 acceptances but I had around 150 and didn't see anything.

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

First forum post so apologies if there's already an answer but I can't find a search function for specific threads. I'm downloading the Nvidia ccminer at https://dgb-groestl.theblocksfactory.com/gettingstarted but both Chrome and Firefox aren't happy about that zip file. I managed to override Firefox and get the zip but now my antivirus isn't happy and wont let me use it (symantec endpoint protection...we use it in work). I wanted to test on my work computer because we have some nice enough graphics cards. It's being reported as a trojan. Is this a common problem for folks and, maybe this is a stupid question, but is it a false positive? Not that anyone with nefarious tendencies would tell me otherwise but perhaps you can explain!

thanks. I'm brand new to mining.

Hashing on SGminer with standard clock GPUs mining SGB - this pool rejects a lot of shares. I mean a lot of shares. Same miner same settings on any other DGB pool and it's all sweet.

I have similar troubles , difficult to understand . Mining dgb groestl  with nvidia and ccminer on the blocks factory - works fine. If i use sgminer with amd (rx470 )no way to get any share. On suprnova works well sgminer but no way to make it run with nvidia.

I am new to mining. I read up on internet and started doing it just today on my desktop which has NVDIA 1050 TI graphics card. I am using DigiByte (DGB) mining as of now. I want to know if I am doing the right way.

I made an account on theblocksfactory.com/ and selected the first algo i.e. Groestl. Followed the steps and I ran the program on my PC which makes GPU go high and calculates hashes. On theblocksfactory website I can see my current balance stands 132.8515 DGB.

My questions are
1 ) Am I doing the correct way? Is theblocksfactory acting as a wallet
2 ) Do i need to install additional softwares on my PC
3 ) How do we exchange these crypto currency with USD or others later.
4 ) What if theblocksfactory gets hacked and my account no longer exists there. What if they close down the website?

so I spent a few hours trying to figure out sgminer.  I'm using a combination of MSI RX 470/480/570 mining with SGMiner 5.1.1 to TBF pool using the following command:

sgminer.exe --gpu-platform 1 -k myriadcoin-groestl -o stratum.dgb-groestl.theblocksfactory.com:9003 -u <username>.<rig> -p x -I 19

It's working great so far.  I'm running a 'patched' 16.9.2 driver over 17.5.1 using the method from this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1874892.msg18857146#msg18857146

Also applied the Pixel Clock Patch https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-Patcher

I'm really new to this but I mined a few phoenixcoins the other day and tried to withdrawl them to Cryptopia.  They seem to be stuck or something, how do I unstick them or get the coins back?
Thanks!
