Bitcoin is struggling now, yes that's true. Due to the extreme hype it gained last year, many countries will make regulations now. However, that isn't necessarily a bad thing. After regulations usually comes big institutional money, which might bring BTC to new heights. Also, there is the problem with the fees and the long confirmation times. I hope Segwit and LN will solve those issues as bitcoin won't be able to grow otherwise.

You got some point too. Well, no one knows what bitcoin will become as its mostly unregulated but I think Bitcoin latest development could have a huge impact on its ultimate success. As of now theres nothing to worry.

I am really worried about the future of btc. btc has been banned in many countries, notably unstable btc development. I saw btc prices rise sharply in the short term, then it fell to nearly 50% in just one week.

I do not think I have to worry even though bitcoin market is going up and down very fast, just smart to manage bitcoin assets, because bitcoin many are interested to join even though some countries still prohibit its use by the government. but basically bitcoin is popular in the world today and bit coin for a long period will survive, because as long as there is only 1 user, BitCoin users on the internet then bitcoin network will not down because of the decentralized server nature.

There is nothing to worry about it, the reason why the other countries banned bitcoin is because of their people using it on illegal things like buying drugs online, or other stuffs on the black market. But if there is no such things like that in your country, then you people should even bother worrying about bitcoin future. There is a lot of people who have big influence on the government which was already putted their trust on bitcoin.

Nothing to fear or worry about the future of bitcoin. All that's happening with bitcoin is positive and till date haven't shown any signs of destruction. If it is towards the end, now the entire technology advancement should have come to an end without new usage implementation.
No this is wrong. Their is a worried condition ahead for bitcoin future. In many country it is still ban and other countries started to ban it. Bitcoin can affects an country economic and has capable of decreasing the value of any country local currency.  Kiss. Bitcoin is fully digital so it has no physical evidence this thing many old thought people doesn't believe upon it  Embarrassed. Its un traceable transaction system make it villain in front of many government. So these thing create worries about bitcoin

no need to worry about, I think bitcoin will survive and continue to grow in the future, I see the previous track record from 2009 until now it turns out really amazing, the system is good, the security is tight so the privacy of each bitcoiner remains safe because it is supported with technology which is great, for me as a beginner I am optimistic that the future will lead to enlightenment.

I see a lot of optimism about bitcoin, which is understandable seeing the price recently.
But I have to admit I'm a little worried about the long term future of btc.
The major problems if the currency still haven't been dealt with. I see 2 major ones:

-Block size. Which makes the delay and fees of transaction rise very fast. Smaller transactions are more and more difficult to make.
-The centralization of the market. China got low cost electricity, which make them by far the most bitcoin mining capable.
-And maybe others that I'm not aware of.

Another thing: The Hard forks that are oddly getting much more frequent than before. (BCH, BTG, Segwitx2 etc...) It almost looks like "attacks" in order to divide us. Now called "airdrops" by the community. Even though they're supposed to solve some of the problems.

All in all, this makes me really worried about btc future. I've been a strong holder since 2014, and I made quite a lot of money with bitcoins, but I begin to doubt now, even though the price is crushing ATM. Please help me keeping faith. Or should I switch to another currency ? Really thinking about ETH recently.

why are you afraid? do not be afraid, just relax bitcoin in the future will be very good because bitcoin is the right solution to create a more secure and open transactions. but it seems we just need to scare shipping costs are increasingly expensive.

i think bitcoin is fine. maybe we talk if bitcoin fall some crypto currency will replace the position of bitcoin. but if that the new crypto currency can do the same thing like bitcoin. i think the answer is no. and if bitcoin dont have a future maybe the other crypto currency will can't get future to.

You are right about one thing that you are worried. You should be because you are misinformed. You worry to much about the wrong things. Please do more research since you are eyeing ETH. ETH has more problems than Bitcoin.

I dont know why but i do agree with you.
Those are one of the reason and the other is when it grows in price I knd of fear it is also nearing a chaos.
It is becoming the apple of the eye of the government and they might do steps that will make the bitcoin world have problems.
The forks are true. Since it hit the thousand dollar mark a lot have been happening which did not before.
Anything that has a huge impact will be interfered by the government. After all, the economy needs to develop steadily.

We does not need to worry about the future of bitcoin instead we need to make our part or to deal with doing a particular thing for us to help bitcoin to developed. I think people or the support of the bitcoin user is the number one factor for bitcoin to experience development and change in terms of transactions, market, stock system and its value.

As a beginner, i am not afraid of the future of bitcoin because i know, it will surely become popular everywhere. And I know that bitcoin is just an alternative way and job for me. Dependeng on bitcoin will end when it was destroyed but no one really knows when bitcoik will end. And for now,I hope it will not stop functioning.

If you have been holding since 2014, you should already know that these things have been expected to happen ever since. I don't know why did you not worry about them before and did not realize that you should be holding other coins as well just so you would be safe if ever bitcoin really goes down. It's good to buy ETH at an early phase but you haven't yet. While holding bitcoin, you should still check out new coins that might have a solid road map and ETH is one of them. Unfortunately for me, I was just new here when ETH came out and I did not really pay attention to it. I thought it was just like any other altcoins out there and so I didn't buy any ETH at all. I would be a millionaire today had I bought ETH.

I don't really worry that much about the future of BTC just because we don't live in the future. We live in the present. It's a cliche but whatever. You will always be depressed if you think about the future. What I do is that I cash out some money now and made something from it so even when bitcoin totally goes down, I'd have something for myself. I already made money from bitcoin and I've already bought good things from it which is more than enough. I think that you should do the same thing too so even when bitcoin goes down, you know you already have too much with you although it will still be best if bitcoin will be stronger than it is today.

If bitcoin does not survive I do not see any other currency taking bitcoin place, so if you want to get out of bitcoin I will suggest to get out of cryptocurrencies completely, and about the hard forks it is very obvious the forks are not being created to solve anything, it is just an attempt to make money with bitcoin’s name and at the same time to attack bitcoin and see if people fall and accept one of these awful coins as the new dominant coin.
If bitcoin does not exist then all altcoin or cryptcurrency will also vanish in my opinion. Because most altcoin is based on Bitcoin. Some cryptocurrency life is dependent on the survival of bitcoin.
I also agree most altcoin is based on Bitcoin but they play different roles. BTC is the gateway from fiat into digital currency. Cryptocurrency coins can make our daily lives easier, they can change the way we live and help the future of this world economy. Don't worry about bitcoin and altcoin.  If something exists , it is present in the world as a real thing.
don't worry about bitcoin bitcoin will survived and bitcoin will spread you don't need to worry because bitcoin can change our future and i think bitcoin will be a good investment in the future you dont need to worry about it

I can see bitcoin still being here in the future. Forks have raised questions over how many are we likely to see and if one of them can truly take over from btc. Eth on the other hand is on the gain and when people see that they are going to invest into it. The block size and transactions will be a problem expecially as more transactions are made across the network.
