Also, you shouldn't necessarily panic -- altcoins and everything in general has a chance to go back up in the future unless it's dropping very very low. Another thing you can do is make sure you don't put all of your money into investments. Make sure you keep some of it out so that you can keep investing even if you don't do well on your current investments.

using stop loss is a good suggestion but unfortunately most of the exchanges out there don't have this option for you to use and some of them that have it don't have a proper option with enough flexibility for you to be satisfied with it.

While you made an undeniably good suggestion, your last sentence is a difficult call. It isn't really easy knowing when price hits a bottom. We only get to know this from hindsight and after the event has passed. Sometimes, what you think should be Support turns Resistance.

Good advice, if we can not control emotions better use bot to help us in trading, because "stop loss" needs to be done to anticipate. But I personally prefer to trade by using three stages: first purchase order 20%, second 30%, third 50% (count 100% of total capital we have)

First of all you must accept the fact that losses happen to everyone and not just you. But the mistake that yo have done needs to be learnt and not done again. The altcoins are all currently down because of people selling them and buying bitcoin. If you get emotional seeing this then I suggest you to not trade for a few days and come back after the fork happens. After the fork people will be back to trading altcoins again and the price will be up soon. Rise and fall are common in any trade and you have to cope with that.

if the trend is for a constant rise in value well then you can hodl for the price to rise again.
this could be tomorrow but it could also be next week or two weeks.

The problem with altcoins is a few thousand dollars can literally change the entire market. If you invest too much, a single dumper could ruin everything for you. Look at what happened with eBTC recently. Someone dumped like mad and the price crashed ~80% within an hour.

Bitcoin investment is create more complicated for new users. We should control the emotions and investment. Because new users does not have that much knowledge to invest. Right,  patience is needed in trading coins but still holding emotions are sometimes hard especially if the price keeps going down.  What I do is just set my order whenever I trade.  I don't watch over the price so that I will not be displeased if the price  keeps going down.  I go back to the exchanger after an hour just to check if my order is processed. 

In trading,  if you are not able to control your emotion you will always end up selling your coins at lower prices and loss the opportunity or the chance on earning good profit.

It's better not to find out the cause because if you found it out that you are affected by that reason that may bring doom to the way you think and it will really give you a big chance of panicking or having troubles with the alt coins you are holding. The best way is to prepare beforehand. Two among lot´s of ways. Set and endpoint and a stoploss, and hang on it despite what "emotions" are telling you. Second buy coins you believe longterm so that you can hold through harsh periods without loosing your cool. But we are past the "beforehand" time so what to do now.
I would look at the portfolio and choose one or too alts to keep trading. that won´t be very "profitable" but you can keep practicing your chart reading and rading skills. You entered at 1 and its not 0,5. Sell and trade it for small profits at a time so you lower the average entry point. as i told before it wont give you much if any profit, but keeps you ocuppied and keeps you learning. And you avoid to make bad decisions about the rest of the portfolio:)

Second, see again your strategy and analyze wisely. If your strategy say " cut loss " ( sell ) just do it, if " hold " just take it. Let me share my similar story here, a few years ago I invested in one altcoin after doing significant research for the same. However, in less than a couple of weeks after investment, the price went down and I was in 35% loss for the same. However, since I had my research to support my investment decision, I kept it as it is and within few months, I saw about 10% to 20% profit for the same investment and that means it not only covered 35% loss but also made 10%+ profit. You really do not need to get carried away when trading. Before you start trading, you should have known what you are dealing with, what you expect, what to do incase something goes wrong which is why we have stop loss which usually is always below the point when a price breaks below support and if all this is something you can do pretty effectively while making decisions based on the chart and some news, then you will have no problem with keeping your emotions in check.

I see that if we spend more than 7 hours in front of our computer can give a bad effect to us which is our emotion can be effect and we can not clearly thinking when we see something is happen. so I think you need to take a rest for a while after you watching the market in a hour and you can come back again in 15 minutes or 30 minutes to continue trading. before you make decision, make sure you take a deep breath and think twice about your decision so you won't regret after you made decision.

Relax buddy, because basically if there is a decrease then there will be a rise later, you should hold it so it will not disappear, never waver or panic selling because it's an emotion. I also hold some altcoin and the price goes down continuously, but I do not sell it because I'm sure the price will return to normal and go up. it just takes time, we never know when the price can go back up.

I have to agree with you. Decisions should come from our mind and not our heart. Because if we let them take control our decisions, then it will be really disastrous for all of us. In the beginning, I'm too emotional specially when I'm seeing the bitcoin price is dropping and dropping fast, I immediately push the sell button. Maybe the coin you bought is not traded by many people. Did you first analyze or look for the past price chart of that coin ? Its ups and downs? Why not buy bitcoin instead of that alta coin? For how long are you waiting for the price up? If it is just month, I say it is normal. If it already takes a year of waiting I say that coin is already impossible to rise again.
About controllinf emotions I have nothing much to help you with that because if I am in that situation for sure I am already in panic mode. Me, I also cannot control my emotions especially that case. Altcoins are variable and if you are well instructed then you must know that everything that falls down eventually gets up. Hold your "alts" until next big opportunity and suppress your emotions in this case. There is no room for emotions in investing. You only need the steady mind that is focused on that what you do at the given moment.

If you want to control you emotion you must follow some strategy that is very simple at first you set you mind, you must daily trade only 10 time if you win a day 3-4 time you don't start trade on this day because you make a profit if you lose 1-4 trade you don't trade but if you 1 trade win and one lose again 1 win and 1 lose in this time you must trade only 10 trade, never trade more then 10 in a day.

Very nice advice, simple mind setting will help traders to earn inside this activity, without doing it chances to stress your self may happen,
we really can't say when the ups or downs will occur, but as long as we have our own setup and strategy we will not be worried in anyhow
its always good to understand everything before starting to deal with trading.

Every smart trader will know the best time to sell, the best time to buy and the best time to HODL without getting emotional. It balls down on you knowing what you are doing; because without that, there is no way the person involved in the trade will never get emotional.

Emotion comes in when you are confused, and not sure if what you end up doing will be right or wrong but once you know how to analyze the situation of things and know you are making a good decision, emotion would be the last thing.

In trading it takes patience and tranquility in emotions if you buy at a high price then the price down is normal, many people who experience it like you better calm down and be patient waiting until the price goes up again.

by preparing yourself ahead of time you'll find that the problematic emotion goes away before it interferes with your life select the situation emotion can have an important influence or physical health and it is critical to deal effectively with the feelings control whatever aspect of the stress that you can the ability to control my emotion and my regardless of circumstances sets me apart from other man learning to control your emotions includes creating an environment where you know that you can go to express those emotion safely knowing that you can give yourself.

Right,  patience is needed in trading coins but still holding emotions are sometimes hard especially if the price keeps going down.  What I do is just set my order whenever I trade.  I don't watch over the price so that I will not be displeased if the price  keeps going down.  I go back to the exchanger after an hour just to check if my order is processed. 

In trading,  if you are not able to control your emotion you will always end up selling your coins at lower prices and loss the opportunity or the chance on earning good profit.

For me how to control emotion. Im going to analys about my emotion. And  and relax and mind set always and be patience.

i suggest that u trade emotionless , completely logical like a smart robot
i know it is hard but if u want to get hurt less , forget emotions and feeling , trust on no one analysis , do it by urself!
use technical tools , reade books and read charts , be patioent and u should be good to earn some money! Cool

Anyone has the will to control their own emotions, just be serious at your goal in making profit with cryptos,  practice and exercise it everytime you make a trade and it would become your virtue. I agree with what you have said using technical tools and studying is a must
