Interesting, but a huge caveat: being a Russian based company will block every attempt to touch the US manufacturers (current situation with Russia is tough, and measures have been taken agains Russia: The US will not let their Carindustry deal with these people based on the "EXPORT CONTROL" regulations.

Subsequently, BIS expanded its military end use and end user controls to impose a license requirement on various items that may not otherwise require a license if the exporter has knowledge that such items may be used by military end users or for military end uses in Russia.
It applies to vehicle technology too, especially control of the lifecycle from production to use. (production of cars is a high-tech industry, and the car industry in general is uber-protected by the US)

No, why they would be having hard time to understand the project? They are into cars and even they had bought cars without knowledge later on as they uses their cars, they'll learn most of it's technical things. And about the blockchain technology that VLB wants to innovate, only people that doesn't have an idea on what will be this project is all about are the ones that can't understand it. Everything can be learned and with great offer of VLB it will be fine during it's run.

That is quite a puzzling article, at least for me as an outsider of the automotive warranty industry. How does it explain customers are overpaying for warranty due to poor dealer / repair shop management and processes?

I don't understand it too, however it's true that there's no trasparency about the spare parts market, as far as we know a repair shop can put in your car second handed spare parts and you can do nothing about it

I still do not understand the relation between that article and the 105 USD too high warranty costs per customer. There is nothing about repair shops defrauding with spare parts in the article.

Information about every spare part sold will be written in the blockchain, for example, if you bring your car to the service to change brakes, the supply writes info about that they sold brakes to your car service (with part number), car service writes the date about brakes were installed on your car. So you can be sure it is the new brakes and not the used ones cause there's information about them written in the blockchain.
