Hi Tycho, I appreciate all you've done with deepbit, the quick payouts are great, the only reason I've stopped using it is the long polling errors that would prevent it from running overnight. Is there a solution to that? Also check this out, could use feedback https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=187807.0

Is there a solution to that? Thanks for your feedback. I received some reports about miner "freezing", but don't know the exact reason yet. In two cases it turned out to be caused by GPU overheating (somehow it didn't happened with other miners), but I noticed that it only happens with GUIminer. Can you please check if same thing happens with cgminer or something else not based on poclbm ?

E-mail confirmations are working fine. If you are using hotmail as your e-mail provider then you have to add " pool@deepbit.net" to your contact list, otherwise Hotmail just silently drops our e-mails. I am not using hotmail. Can a confirmation email be resent for my account? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'll try it on cg over the weekend.. I don't get as high a rate as with poclbm, especially with my aforementioned cl tweak, but worth a try.

I can really recommend BFGMiner. In my experience, it runs best if you just pass it URL, username and password - OTOH, if you tweak it a little, it can give you a quite a few MH/s more, which I explicitly do not as I'd like to keep the temp of my GPU below 90C.

In GUIminer, with CL, it's not a heat issue.. after a few minutes (and always under 75 degrees) i get a pile of long poll I/O errors, then it's like this:

Is there a way to adjust polling reconnect rate? Is that all it could be?
Can't use cgminer, it's too aggressive with video card for deesktop use, looking at bfgminer though

With BFGMiner, you can disable longpolling... --no-longpoll is all it takes, or disable it from the ASCII interface. How many GPUs do you use? Maybe dynamic threading for multiple GPUs might cause issues?

Hello,
I am curious as to why my miner will stop receiving blocks. Is this a problem on deepbit's end or mine? I am relatively new to mining so to best describe what I am talking about is that my miner (POCLBM) will go from the normal 400 m/h a sec to 0.300 after a few shares.
Thanks!

Yes, I received reports about this problem, but I need your help to find out the cause. I suspect that it's some kind of bug that was introduced in poclbm/guiminer recently. Can you please try either cgminer or some other miner not based on poclbm/guuiminer just to check if the problem will persist or not ?

Hi Tycho, and Bob,
guiminer with cgminer did in fact run all weekend without incident, with no flags. guiminer with poclbm failed after minutes, not an overheating issue at all.

Round duration can vary. This very long round already finished, so account balances will be updated in next hours. This doesn't happens in PPS mode, that's why it has higher fee.
Dear Tycho, whats the update cylcle of the balance? Today I got an entry at 6.04 am and next at 17.02 and amount of BTC is the same as the entry before from 1:00 to 6.04. Thanks for the good job you do with deepbit mine2mine

Some transactions may be too small or have low priority or fail to propagate for other reasons, those will be confirmed by our own blocks and will appear in the blockchain after that.
