ok I'm confused now I requested a payment after site was back up from maintenance. My payment was .04, It shows up in payments but not in my wallet, also this is the first payment in a 24hour period. Any thoughts? My address hasn't changed or anything.

EDIT-- Never-mind I guess I jumped the gun it just showed up I got worried because it seemed like it took longer than usual.

It looks like at slower speed the BTC estimation doesn't work. So I don't get an estimate at 7 mhs. Is this going to change?

P.S. I really like Deepbit.  Cheesy

The site has crashed a few times today for me... didn't look like it had any effect on mining, however.

my miner has been running just fine as well, I'm new to this but I sure am starting to get obsessed, been trying to get my friend to sell me a few of his ATI cards so I can make a second rig, my 80-117mh/s just isn't cutting it. I sure am glad I got into this even with the volatile market of BTC.   Grin

You can set longer averaging window at your advanced settings page. Try 40-60 mins.

has deepbit been hacked or something?HuhHuh?
I don't think so.

my instant payout has gone to an address/wallet that is NOT MINE!
i want my btc back. can anyone help me where to find it?
Since you didn't provided any data about your account, I can't check what's happened.
1) Look at your account page - is the address at that page yours or not ?
2) Have you already set your addres ? If yes and someone changed it, then it means that someone confirmed it via your e-mail, so your e-mail is compromised.
3) PM me your login name.

I've noticed the following things today from deepbit:

Website timing out.
History column disappearing.
Reported hash rate much lower than it should be.
Miners reported as offline when they weren't.

Any help?

Hi,

I would be interested by joining Deepbit, however your network share makes me think you shouldn't grow too much Tongue
By having a > 50% share of bitcoin network hashpower, you clearly are the target for anyone who wants bitcoin to fail.
Do you have a strategy to counter this ? Don't you think splitting deepbit into severals servers to make an global takeover more complex is a solution ?

You won't get an email. You can use multiple addresses.

I believe you are wrong sir. Tycho has implemented a confirmation system to change your payout address.

You have to go into your deepbit account, paste in the new address, and hit save. You should then get a confirmation email with a link that you DO have to click. Then you are done.

CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER. He has issues with a lot of mail providers flagging him as spam. I know gmail does.

Best,
Jeff

I recently became a member on deepbit's website and now I am stuck. I have my own personal wallet on my computer and one online also. I currently use GUIMiner. I do not believe I have the option to GPU Mine, I have a Compaq laptop, probably not the greatest. I have never mined before and know i'm doing something wrong. I created a worker: ~~~~~~~@gmail.com_0 and password 123 and set that up in GUIMiner the same way and selected DeepBit from the pull down menu. The console gives me this message: Running command: poclbm.exe --user=~~~~~~~~~~@gmail.com_0 --pass=123 -o deepbit.net -p 8332 -d0 --verbose
Listener for "Default" started

The pool has been super unreliable today for me. I have switched to my backup pool for the time being. Please update this thread when the issue is fixed.
