Hello all!

I am completely new and I decided to make deepbit my first pool. I have a few questions though. My equipment isn't here yet but I am just testing things out ahead of time, so when it gets here I can just plug and go. My questions are

When I run "CGminer nogpu" it just crashes it is something like this

URL
deepbt.net:8332
Username
My email
Password
My password

Then it just pauses and crashes. Could it be that the computer I am doing it on is old? I am running the old school Acer Aspire One. Could it be that I do not have my equipment set up? I think this is the reason really, but I assumed that "CGminer nogpu" would just be able to connect to the server at least. Also, I am getting an Avalon 60 gh/s, and I cannot run regular "CGminer" because it says that my computer cannot find Opencl.dll if these make a difference.

Here's to hoping that Avalon Asic miner works with GUIminer

I am going to read throughout this thread to try and learn something, sorry if this was already answered in this thread

EDIT: I tried on a newer, but still old computer and now it says "Network diff set to 511M" then it says "CGminer.exe has stopped running" and closes. Again probably due to the fact that I do not have my equipment. I think I am getting some where.

EDIT: Turns out I did not have a .bat file made one and now I am in it. Of course it says no USB detected. It also says "Long-polling activated for http://deepbit.net:8332/listenChannel" whatever that means. I think I am in. No crashing or nothing. Now it is just time to wait for my equipment. Hopefully the set up of my Avalon is easy. I'll post here so you guys can laugh at my newbness. Thanks for the awesome thread! It made it a lot easier than i thought.
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

In bfgminer, when looking at the pool information I see:
Code:
Queued work requests: 88
Share submissions: 81
Accepted shares: 81
Rejected shares: 0 + 0 stale (0.00%)
Accepted difficulty shares: 81
Rejected difficulty shares: 0
Network transfer: 128.7 /  83.6 kB  (129.0 /  84.0  B/s)
Efficiency (accepted * difficulty / 2 KB): 0.78
Stale submissions discarded due to new blocks: 0
Unable to get work from server occasions: 0
Submitting work remotely delay occasions: 0

In My Account (https://deepbit.net/account) I only see two(2) shares accepted.

Am I missing something?
Why is there a delta?

I have received a payout from DeepBit to a brand new wallet, and the transaction appears in MultiBit, but the status has been at "Seen by 4 peers. Pending/unconfirmed" for 17 hours. Is there anything I can do to confirm the transaction, or is there a problem?

Did I mess up by using a brand new wallet to receive the bitcoin? I performed the instant payout within one minute of creating the wallet.

If I try to look for the transaction on blockchain.info, it says that the "transaction is not found".

All help appreciated.

This is the state I am now in as well. I believe in order for the transaction to propagate, a small fee like .0001 BTC is necessary to be paid by the sender. Does Deepbit not do that?

I have the same problem. Status of transaction is "Seen by 1 peer".

Looks like a couple of us have this issue, I am glad it's not just me. I really wouldn't mind paying the fees out of my DeepBit account, because I could have sold my bitcoins last night for $2800 of my currency, and now they'll exchange for $1700! I really hope it doesn't take too much longer.

Send an E-Mail to pool@deepbit.net - cause I'm still waiting for the coins.

Tycho and I emailed back and forth until he finally realized that he had to manually set my address to the original one due to issues with my e-mail.
I could not get the confirmation emails and he basically said: ok, I see now. The address is not set.
But of course if I set it: deepbit sends a confirmation email and I cannot receive that email so again the address cannot be set and no bitcoins sent to my wallet!

It is pretty crazy.
I've sent emails for weeks while staring at the charts watching bitcoin climb and climb (and fall a bit).
Can't believe I cannot get my bitcoins out to take part in the market.
It is most annoying because he said he understood the problem but still has not solved it!

Hi! I'm new to mining. Have been mining with GUIMiner and 50miner for about 24 hours with ~50 MH/s. I see in my account at deepbit.org that I have more then 550 shares accepted. But my balance is still 0.00000000 BTC. Does anybody know if it can be OK? Or there is a problem there?
P.S.: Mining in "proportional" mode

I'm still waiting for reply.
At the moment I wouldn't mine for this pool.
It only makes sense when you have the chance to get paid  Sad
