I find DeepBit to be a great pool and don't have any complaints about using it. (I figure most people post with problems so I wanted to give the other side and report in as a happy customer.) Smiley

I have exactly the same error :

"Deepbit.lib.InfoException: wrong login or password" and i'm running a fresh install of Windows XP Pro x86 w/ GUIMiner v2011-07-01 and i can logon the website but not on the app.

I have changed my password on deepbit.net to no avail.

I have also disabled the firewall, still doesn't work.

Rebooting, of course, didn't solved anything.

Sad

As a new miner, I'm only using about 350Mhash/s or so, but it seems to me that after trying slush, btcguild and deepbit that db seems to be the most consistent, a few of the other sites just seem to take too long to accumulate the steady and reliable btc that db provides.  should i split up my mh/s and put one video card on db and another on slush or btc?  oh well, just posting to post really, thanks for the info you guys provide on forums

EDIT: Now you can try some new exciting feature - optional Pay-Per-Share mode is enabled in my pool. You can choose payments method for any of your workers, look at your account page for workers configuration. Current rate is 0.00003262705594458 BTC per share.

Just making sure this is what we're actually getting. This rate is listed here (and in the proper non-newbie thread) But a different rate is listed on the site.

Thanks in advance.

PPS is going to change every difficulty change.  Right now, it's:

Quote
Pay per share: 0.00002492107169583 BTC per every submitted share

It's probably going to change again soon as there's a difficulty change coming up. -- The correct rate will always be on the website.

Cheers,
Kermee

Was in slush for a while,  but got very frustrated with the large number of invalid shares they were getting at the time (1-2 a day) and the inconsistent payout.  Also waiting a day for my payout to be validated was a pain

Hi guys, I'm a newbie and I've got some problems that prevent me from begining my mining career.

I can't seem to get poclbm to start mining. It closes immediatley after it starts.
I closely followed this video guide after failing to fix the problem on my own, but the problem still persists. I then tried editing the bat file I made and put the text from the Deep Bit Help page but poclbm still just flashes.
Of course I changed the example username and password to the correct one I assigned to my new worker and added --worksize 128 because it is optimal for my Radeon 5770, but nothing seems to work.

Oh I almost forgot. I'm using a Win 7 x32 operating system.

Can anyone please help me?

Thanks in advance
Alexander

If some of you guys want email notifications for idle deepbit workers please have a look at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=40263.0

I still have some free accounts available, after they are gone i will charge only 0.1 BTC / month.

Sorry for my English.
I'm joined deepbit a few days ago. I mined about 600 shares, requested my first payout, everything was fine.
Then I continued to mine, but after payout my balance stays at 0. "Statistics" page shows my shares and reward. Why my balance is 0?

This is with CPU. 600 shares were mined with GPU, but I can't use it temporarily.

Yeah... Not sure what to say.  Will probably have to check with [Tycho] on that one... So under the 'My Account' page, it still shows:

0.00000000 BTC
Balance is updated once per hour

Correct?

Yes.

Maybe this information would be useful: I've used instant payout, not automatic. When I was asked for amount, I've copied my balance, so after payout my balance was exactly 0.
