greedy ROB?  more ppl told about you  discord too,FB too, telegram too, REDDIT too

arent you ashamed?

EXPLAIN ALL MINERS THIS

in last 7 days i checked this
2000 miners on pool = results was 52 (24%)
3998 miners on pool = results is 42 (21%)
this is unbelievable

and pool fees 13% is record between coins  Embarrassed  for what you need 13%?

we have to protect our expenses

Yes, I do think you should personally kick in 1btc for the original free pool development- it would be nice.  Have you contributed anything to biblepay?

Yes, it is true that I have only Spent money to help the pool and the miners, and that means money has gone Out of my account Into the pool.  I guess you dont understand the concepts of basic accounting.

Yeah, I guess Im greedy for Giving more than Im taking in, right?

Dear Rob,

I offered him a full cloud server to setup a pool.Well he did not show up for 1 week. I closed the server blocked him on Skype.

I am offering similar server to someone who can manage a such pool. Or if anyone can setup for me I will take care of it.

HI friend, does the pool server have install script?

As long as I understand it works on windows and has no automatic installation.

Alright thank you, I won't bother with it installing it then, as I'm clueless what to do, and even if I succeeded maybe security breach, don't want to risk that. Thanks for the help.
As for Rob is there a way I can contribute to biblepay not with technical stuff? I have told friends and family. But possibly I can talk to the priest in my church in Amsterdam, any idea how to promote it to him so he can take donations each Sunday in bbp instead of money? I think a mobile wallet would be much useful for them to adapt donations in that way.
P.S it is catholic church so I hope no problem with that.

Best regards

No, there can be no automatic installation for a pool, otherwise how would you know the pool didnt have a script in it to give 50% to the orphans?

There are no shortcuts to running a pool.  You have to be a master SQL administrator, DBA, weak programmer, security admin and windows engineer to run a pool.  You have to for one compile the source in visual studio 2017, and be ready for redeploying it when it changes.  You have to spend 20 hours a week answering emails and doing adhoc sql queries, etc.  If we had someone that even believed they could just compile it once and let it run it will be down within one month and all your coins will be lost.

I might be up to it,  my daily work is to compile code in vs.net 2017 and im a certified sql server developer, i know MSSQL pretty well.  I can deploy a web app, even if my main work is mostly win apps i've deployed enough web apps in IIS and asp.net to handle that task.

Is this pool code public? i could give it a try if so...

Hi guys,

I would just like to implore the highly efficient dev and slack team whom I have had the pleasure of annoying many times Wink , to please do something about the letter writing.  I have written 2 letters in mid December which had not been up voted properly for some reason.  I really don't mind, I will write letters for free, but what is working on my nerves is that idiotic trolls will take their time to down vote each and every letter (not only mine) and try to skinny every last dime.  I do apologize for for my little rant, but it needs to be addressed.

Anyhow.
Still rooting for Rob and the guys.
Keep up the good work.

Ed

Thanks a lot Ed, yes we should pay users to upvote the letters!  Maybe we can share some of the letter fees for proofreading, and voting...  Ill jump on that right after I fix the faucet.

Thanks for the reply.  I admire the positive attitude and perseverance that you guys I showing.  I honestly don't know how you do it.

Keep up the good work

Ed

The feature to pay 5 BBP for each distinct letters upvote or downvote per Pool User is finished, but not deployed yet.  I will put some type of slogan on it when its ready to use.

Sounds like a great plan.  You will however need a good proof reading team as this will sure get a lot of letters that had been voted for just fir the sake of 5 BBP.

Sure I guess since we are up to 4000 miners now, it might be a good time to expand.

So the code is here:
https://github.com/biblepay/biblepaypool

The compile install deployment guide is here:
https://github.com/biblepay/BiblePayPool/blob/master/Deploying%20A%20BiblePayPool.docx

Please give feedback once you read the guide if you still are crazy enough to do it.

The pool is a lightning rod for haters, hackers, etc, so it really needs the anti-ddos feature enabled.
I recommend the $60 per month vultr service (you see in the doc) for multiple reasons.

Thanks!

Just a warning: this feature could be abused if someone just upvotes or downvotes all letters without reading it.

616west had interesting idea for proofing/checking letter writing he has brought up a few times:

"I would like to see letter writing be ultimately moved to being approved by the Masternode Network.  My thought is, every cycle, three or five MN are selected, either at random or via vote.  They get "delivered" the submitted letters once a week, and have one week to vote on them (individually).  If all three or five MN agree, then they all get a small reward (5 to 10 BBP per letter).  If the letter is approved unanimously, it gets 110% of the letter writing reward, if it's a split decision it gets the normal amount (or none if declined).  If a MN misses a voting week, they're replaced in the next week for the remainder of the cycle and ineligible to be selected again for an additional cycle." -616west

Im glad to hear more people talking about letter writing abuse, with more flames in the fire Im sure we can come up with a solution!
Any feedback on 616west's idea? Any other ideas?

Looking for GRAPHIC DESIGN & HTML/CSS Skills for BiblePay Bitcointalk Ad Banner, Will reward work in BBP coins!

Ad Info: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2664093.0
Ad Examples: https://bitcointalk.org/adrotate.php?adinfo
Ad Test Page: https://bitcointalk.org/ad_test.html

BiblePay Logo Design files: https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/comments/7asnaa/new_coin_logo_zip_of_images/

Reddit Thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/comments/7ndg5g/bitcointalk_banner_ad_need_htmlcss_skills/

Anyone have feedback on what should be on the banner? What text should say?
Obviously we would want the logo on there and the BiblePay name.
What should the banner link to? the main website? Should we have multiple links?

Main Website: http://biblepay.org/
Bitcointalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2388064.0
Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/
Twitter: https://twitter.com/BiblePay

(Note: Ill be looking for potential help with Reddit ad banner in the near future as well)

These are the 2 entries I have received so far:

fox123me: http://fozy.altervista.org/banner.html
(XHTML, waiting on confirmation from bitcointalk ad owner if this is valid)

ALT-J90: https://i.imgur.com/bli0dKc.png
(Lower quality, sent 250 BBP as reward for effort)

/u/CovfefeDreams and /u/plethora717 I believe are both working on one as well

Right now to get 1 slot for this round which is about to start, would be 0.08 BTC, so ~$1,250
Ill wait for more entries and then make a Pre-proposal and maybe try to get in on next round

fox123me's first banner was rejected for being one big image,
he created a 2nd version, spending the day learning CSS and analyzing other banners,
he needs help from other with the CSS, anyone interested in helping? I will reward in BBP Smiley

Any good suggestions on VPS hosting?

EDIT: Thank you Rob for the "missing miners" service on the pool!  Grin

Hi guys,

Do you think it is good idea for new pool? I am in favor of keeping our powers bundled until we figure out what the cause is why we are hitting less blocks, after that it will indeed be a good idea to get another pool to spread hashing power a bit.
I am very happy with past updates and active community, especially the development team, PR and moderators. Keep up the good job. I truly believe in the cause.
Have a wonderful day people.

Coinsmarkets.com will be up today or tomorrow and c-cex is online 20 January, however feel free to inquire any exchanges to list us. I have read in reddit that yobit might be a possibility.

It's not a good idea. If someone is hitting those blocks is because he (or they) has the hashpower to do so. Spreading in more pools will make no difference for that matter.
