poolport=80
pool=https://pool.purepool.org/

This might be the problem: use poolport=443 when using https, or remove the poolport line completly. I think it is not required.
In your file, you ask for HTTPS on the HTTP port Smiley

The instantsend maximum has been increased from 5000 to 500,000 BBP.

I recommend testing with amounts smaller than 100K until we resolve the minimum signatures required per 100K.

Earlier today I was able to send 100,000 to myself with 195 of the 210 required signatures, but it failed and reverted to a regular payment.

Lets test instantsend with 50K next.

@lichtsucher: so the pool page now shows my payment for the first found block (30437). However for new users not having read the instructions carefully this might be a bit misleading, because it is called "payment" although it isn't really paid out yet (only once a day, right?). Maybe you could just add another column to this table stating "payment queued" or "payment done" or something like that. Wink

This was just a systemwide spork change, so everyone already has it now, but, the problem we are facing is high amounts above say 50K require a massive amount of signatures and we only have 135 masternodes, and they only have 60 seconds to sign.  I think the algo was written with 4000 masternodes, and a max of 1000 in mind LOL.  So we still might need a change in testnet for that feature.

Yeah, Private send requires a code change.  Ill look into that.  Im trying to gather anything we need for a March mandatory release.  Let me know if you can think of anything else in the testnet thread.

Big thx to everybody who supports the second pool Purepool and helps to make it stable and cool Cheesy

We already found three blocks in the last 24 hours.

Remember: You will see the bbp on your miner statistic 24 hours AFTER a block was found. But it still uses the shares commited before the block was found (-> shares found between the found block and the last pool block before that).

Next steps:
The shares for the first block (30437) will be calculated by the Purepool at around 2018-02-16 15:00:00 UTC.
All miners that submitted shares before 2018-02-15 14:52:02 UTC will be part of that block.
This block is mostly filled with my own servers, as they were already using the pool for two days before the public announcement to test the pool. 10 other miners have submited small amounts of shares for that block and will indeed get there bbp.

The second block is the first regular block with a lot of shares of other miners. We already had 33 different miners on the second block.
The second block was found 2018-02-16 01:59:02 UTC and will be shared at around 2018-02-17 02:00:00.

The third block was just found at  2018-02-16 08:15:03 UTC and shared at 2018-02-17 08:15:03

And no, I won't post that everytime a new block is found, I don't want to spam the forum with that. This is only for the start, to make it more transparent Smiley

Does anyone know why one of my workers would be solo mining with an error: pool down-reverting to solo mining?

I have 2 machines ( 2 diff workers) with the same conf file, with the exception of the worker name. And one of my workers is pool mining and the other has had this error message since 2/14.

conf file:

 addnode=dnsseed.biblepay-explorer.org

genproclimit=3

poolport=80

workerid=cjm_258worker

pool=http://pool.biblepay.org

The pool supports SSL, so you can remove the poolport line and for the pool URL you can put in "https" instead of "http". Maybe the old non-SSL connection doesn't work anymore?

The mainpool (pool.biblepay.org) should still support http. When I call http://pool.biblepay.org/Action.aspx  it answers with the correct error message.

https://www.bitcoinsuperconference.com/

Yeah, the tickets were $600+, I think and it sold out.  I don't have time or chance to go.  Ronnie Moas might have a meetup on Sunday.  I might have the opportunity to go then.  What city in Texas are you in, Togo?

Im in Austin, there was another Bitcoin conference a while back in Austin but tickets were $400 O_O
but it would have been cool to meet Amanda B Johnson from DASH

Hopefully BiblePay grows over the next year or so and we can afford to send people to these conferences and set up booths Smiley

There is potential for us to get listed on NEXT.Exchange: https://nextexchange.featureupvote.com/suggestions/3384/biblepay-bbp

Other than that I dont think there are any new exchanges on the horizon, hopefully C-CEX opens up new user registrations and CoinsMarkets comes back

The big news right now is the Cancer Research Mining feature in development:
https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@togoshige/biblepay-bbp-cancer-research-mining-rosetta-home-and-boinc-in-development

Also if this 2nd Budget passes, we are funding a 2nd Charity, BLOOM (Be Loved Orphan Outreach Missions):

Hi! Price is very hard to predict in crypto, in my opinion. All I can say is that we have some great things coming this year, so I am positive that people will see more value in us in the future.

As for exchanges, we are running some community votes to try to get BiblePay listed on some exchanges. If you like, you could help us by voting

https://nextexchange.featureupvote.com/suggestions/3384/biblepay-bbp

https://feedback.altcoinexchange.com/suggestions/2114/pls-add-biblepay-bbp

I think there was another but I can't find it now.

There are also other decentralised exchanges that we are looking into, but it is early days.

What about the decentralized exchange, Cryptobridge? It's very easy and cheap to go there. Coinbase and yobit are also cheap options. Kucoin would be.great as well.

Someone mentioned Cryptobridge on Discord the other day and said that they would enquire about it for us.
We looked at yobit but it seemed they weren't honouring their agreements when coins were paying the listing fee. I don't know specifics.
I don't know about the other two.

Hello guys......any price predictions during the next 2 months or long term on biblepay? Any new exchanges coming? I think thats the only thing holding this great looking project at such a low price right now.

Well in theory, in an efficient market, the mining price breakeven is supposed to act as a floor on prices.  So to give you some idea of what that is currently, running a 120V server drawing 2.25-2.5A steady state mining biblepay is conservatively using 300 Watts.  So over 1 day, (300W*24)/1000 is 7.2KWh per day.  My cost for electricity is below most people's although not the cheapest, at .067 per KWh.  So that is approximately .48 per day to run the server.  On good days, I get about 33.3 biblepay per day per machine.  That is .48/33.3 cost per biblepay which works out to .0144 per biblepay.  Right now, per coinmarketcap, the price of bbp is .004075.  So in an efficient market, miners should cut back mining and instead buy biblepay up to .0144, which is about 3.5 times higher than the current price.  Additionally, another pool was just added which probably reduced the original pool hashpower and reduced the frequency of found blocks so the breakevens are probably on their way higher.  So in short, right now mining is an expensive way to finance acquisition of biblepay.

As for VPS, $5 per month with an expected mining rate of 14 bbp per day implies 5/(14*30) which is a breakeven of .012.  Some people might have different expectations for their mining rate, but that is at least ballpark of what I have observed recently.  It fluctuates daily, but usually the breakevens creep higher.

The problem is that if there is a botnet mining for free, it is taking hashpower, taking blocks and selling bbp on the market lowering the price compared to their free cost of electicity.  (I don't know for sure this is what is happening, but is bad if it is.)  Taking blocks from the pool lowers payout and raises breakevens, so it is important that if there is a botnet mining for free that we get rid of it.

That is a super interesting analysis aikida3k! Great insight into the miners perspective,
I guess the other part of that is the 40% Masternodes and 20% Budget (in addition to the 40% Miners),
At least half the budget will always be sold to pay for Charity expenses and probably other proposals will sell their coins to fund other expenses
and there are maybe some Masternodes selling their rewards as well
