I had this error on a number of machines They were on a fork I had to delete all files in C:\Users\myUser\AppData\Roaming\BiblepayEvolution **EXCEPT** the biblepay.conf file and the wallet Then start the wallet and wait for re-sync with the network I had to add this line to the config file: Addnode=198.46.160.252 Hope this helps PM ************************************************************************************* I have been receiving an error since last week, no way to fix it: Assertion failed!
File:dbwrapper.h, Line 549
Expression: dbTx.IsClean() I haven't been able to mine since or sync since it started. Any suggestions? Another user on discord mentioned this exact same error too. The code says something about rollback but I have no idea what that means. You get the Abort, Ignore, Retry option? What happens if you click Ignore? I wrote an article on how to start the blockchain from 0 erasing the relevant files using the --erasechain parameter. I included Togo's instructions in the end, along with basic instructions for Linux users. https://whitewalr.us/2019/biblepay-erasechain-not-reindex.htmlNow that CamerooneONE sponsorships are due for the month of Oct 2019, now is a good time for a reminder. If Jesus is calling, Cameroon ONE orphans are available to sponsor. In return, you can receive some BBP for the sponsorship. Details on how to register are here: https://whitewalr.us/2019/biblepay-cameroonone-partnership.htmlAfter you have registered and authorized a child to sponsor, you can pay via BiblePay (BBP) by following the directions here: https://whitewalr.us/2019/whats-new-in-biblepay-1449.html

Jesus Is King.
True. I think I found a silly bug in the original Bread Wallet code for Android, that in the case you change from auto to manual mode, then write a non-valid IP (this is an IP that does not host a Biblepay node), and then you go back to auto mode, the app does not sync any more. This is because when switching to auto mode, it does not clean the manual node string properly, and the SPV client sticks to the invalid manual node for peer connection. This can be solved by just killing and restarting the app, but it might be causing some confusion among Android users of the wallet. I don't think this is behind sunk's syncing problems but still... I will prepare a new Android version and check if iOS version is also affected or not.

I don't know how you realized, but I did put node.biblepay.org:40000 but it wanted an IP address. So, perhaps this is why the automatic sync did not work? I don't recall if I killed the app or not, but I probably did not. Thanks for anticipating my issue.

Hello guys, could someone help me please? I had 200-300k BBP (not sure exactly) in my wallet but few days (maybe 1-2 weeks) ago they have gone all. I do not understand it at all because when I list my transcactions there are just many incomes but almost no outcomes. I have 1.4.4.9 version of wallet, using Windows. I tried reindex, deleting all files except wallet.dat & biblepay.conf, recommended biblepay-qt.exe -erasechain=1 but nothing works for me. I had a few similar problems in the past but one of the mentioned solutions always helped. Thank you very much. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img922/1850/DLqUzJ.jpghttps://imagizer.imageshack.com/img921/2145/BfK4rC.jpgFrom looking at your profile history, looks like you mined back when BiblePay rewarded coins for BOINC science research https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1931291;sa=showPostsIf you just updated your wallet since then, the biblepay data location moved, so you just have to copy your wallet.dat to the new location NOTE: v1.4.3.1 Upgrading to EvolutionNeed to copy "wallet.dat" file to new directoryWindows: %appdata%\biblepaycore %appdata%\biblepayevolution
Linux: ~/.biblepaycore ~/.biblepayevolution
macOS: /Library/Application Support/biblepaycore /Library/Application Support/biblepayevolution Hopefully this is the issue, You are not alone, a handful of people have run into this issue publicly so far, its a bit scary to think all your coins are gone (I worry about the people who havent upgraded still yet or who did and its at 0 and they just gave up and left) Good news is that the info is on the latest ANN, its at the top of the wallet page on the website, it was sent in the website newsletter, and posted on all social media But not everyone keeps up with things, which is totally okay! I wonder if a one time wallet warning would help, if it could somehow detect that old version was updated to a new version, I dont know, I assume there are reasons we didn't code to auto move the wallet vs having to manually move it

wallet.dat is in a correct folder, I have moved it when upgrading to the new Evo wallet. Everything worked for me till 2019/09/27 it think (last time I have moved bbp from pool to wallet). Then I did not check it for a while and after last update all my BBPs have lost without a trace. Is this your wallet? https://chainz.cryptoid.info/bbp/wallet.dws?22808.htmQuit BiblePay and do erasechain again: biblepay-qt --erasechain Full details here: https://whitewalr.us/2019/biblepay-erasechain-not-reindex.htmlIf you re-index from 0 to beginning, maybe your wallet.dat is corrupt and you may need to look under backups and try one of those. Rename your existing wallet.dat to wallet.dat.backup191011 then copy one of the older wallet.dat in backups and rename it wallet.dat Never erase any wallet.dat (only rename or copy) until you get a good wallet. Make sure you quit biblepay-qt every time you want to try new wallet.dat

Yes, it is. I tried your advice, took older wallet from May 2018 a executed --erasechain. I can see balance increasing whole time until about 8 weeks ago. All income disappear without any sendings. I do not think I have ever tried PoG because I have not understood how it works. I do not have other wallets neither. Frankly, I am just a beginner in coins mining. Is it possible I sent those coins somewhere and there is no evidence of it? I really appreciate all your help and pieces of advice guys.
It should all be there. you are pool mining on pool.biblepay.org ? You were getting regular payments until about one week ago. I don't see the funds disappearing... you could try tools, wallet repair, recover transactions 1 remember to keep backup of all wallet.dat files

I wrote a new article: Is Proof of Orphan Mining (POOM) sustainable? The article explain what Proof of Orphan Mining is and goes into details about the economic support of BiblePay using the average USD price of BiblePay (BBP).

looks like wallet.dat is okay.
quit biblepay
run as administrator:
sfc /scannow
in biblepay folder in %appdata%\..\Local make a copy of folder.
save only biblepay.conf, wallet.dat, backups and everything else inside folder (this includes peers.dat, SAN folder, etc)
run again:
biblepay-qt --erasechain
also, can you show us your biblepay.conf

Actually the evodb corruption error means the erase chain was not done (evo db should have been cleared along with blocks). Try this: ./biblepay-qt -erasechain=1 Let it completely sync before looking the balance; ensure it is actually synced to the top block.

I'm traveling this week so I'll be a little less available than normal but things are still happening in the morning (development wise).
Let me give a quick update on what changes are coming and updates on a few things:
1) The BiblePay external CPU miner is almost ready for testing (you can test against production or testnet). I am formulating a strategy for our future, as related to POW/PODC/POG. From a high level, one thing Im dissapointed about is the lack of increase in new users. I want to see at least one new user per day. Ive decided that maybe we were a little too stringent, trying to appeal to Christians only, when really we should appeal to everyone - and expose the everyday people to the gospel of Jesus over time. Actually this is what Jesus wanted to do anyway - why do you eat with tax collectors and sinners? Because we are to spread the gospel to those *in need* of it not those who already know the gospel.
In light of that, I think a "more user friendly" strategy for biblepay is to lower the ABN, to something more affordable for one. The poll was all over the place (and relatively neutral overall). So lets talk about this in a few days, if lowering the abn to 5000 would help onboard new users. Moving on however to my more important point, Im thinking we code in a server side GSC campaign for Rosetta, using our new GSC system, and vote on it once completed to consume a certain % of the POG budget. Im thinking we remove POG and switch back to Rosetta - simply because - I feel that people are very apprehensive to tithe (give to the foundation to mine) - I think they find it very unusual to be coaxing people to give to the foundation in order to receive POG rewards. However I think some people do like the 'interest' component of pog, so what we can do is vote on 'how much of pog would be rosetta' and leave a few % points for interest. For example, maybe we keep cameroon-one as-is, leave 5% for healing, and with the remaining 45%, we go with something like 40% for boinc and 5% for interest bearing balances etc.
One thing this would do is allow us to simplify the requirements as far as unlocking the wallet and requiring a "payment" to go to the foundation, we just need the daily update to be sent. Im thinking we look into 'free transactions' also, as it may be possible to send those with a locked wallet to simplify those updates.
Then soon in our next release, we will also have chainlocks. The Sanc reward is going up a little and the heat mining down, but this should work perfectly with chainlocks as security is guaranteed in the next branch.
Regarding the plan for the external miner, I will be posting binaries for linux (x64) and Windows x64 tonight. I have no idea how the benchmark will compare to our inbuilt miner so this should be fun for all of us. In order to use the new miner, you must also upgrade biblepay-qt (as there is a stratum call in the next version you need). Ill post instructions on how to run the miner also. If people need binaries other than these two, lets ask MIP to jump in and see if he can help release some extra build scripts.
We just got listed on Needyex.com. Ive sent them the addl collateral, so feel free to test the exchange out.
Ive had a few exchanges reach out to us this week, some with very high offers that are out of the ballpark - thanks for initiating these Togo. So far, gate.io declined to list us for "an unknown reason" but invites us to reapply again next year. Ill summarize these asap.
Please look forward to BBP leisure upgrade for mining in a few hours - we can test the new external miner.
Regarding GPU/Asic, once we start mining on this new external miner (bbp-miner.exe), we look forward to anyone who has GPU capabilities to try to port us to GPU (or asic). I want to see transparency here in our project - I want a good honest white hat hacker to give it a shot. There are interesting dynamics here - due to the low POBH reward, but nevertheless we need to know if anyone can do it for the sake of the whole community.
On a side note: in this phase the external miner will *only solo mine* you cannot pool mine with it. The goal is to benchmark it, and if its faster than the core client, I will move on to making a stratum pool. I still want the stratum pool to handle future scalability and maintenance in BBP, to replace the c# server side pool code. We will just keep the orphan letter writing in the pool, and then move that to DSQL when we have time - then we can take down pool.biblepay.org, and just have p2pool and DSQL running. Then volunteers can make Nomp or whatever pool they want later off of p2pool as a template (or simply run more p2pools) etc.

We got an offer to be listed on Mercatox for 1btc, and although I could see us counteroffering 0.10 btc for the listing, according to these reviews they appear to not honor peoples withdrawals: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/mercatox.com(65% say problems withdrawing coins). So I think we will need to pass.
