Some person(s) gpu mining this i think. Besides the block reward keeps decreasing while difficulty rapidly rises. Mining's getting less and less profitable.
With no reason to buy this coin, the coin is dead. The primes aren't worth much. Well, if you want a reason, it has a much better reason than every other coin out there, apart from bitcoin, litecoin, namecoin, and ppcoin. No other coin has a socially beneficial output as a byproduct. That's something new and innovative, that can cause people to adopt it. It could be seen as "helpful" rather than "wasteful" like SHA is.

Not quite true, there's also Freicoin [FRC] which would have a socially beneficial output... . But I fully aknowledge your posting...

Sometimes you get several blocks within hours... then you wait days for the next block... that's solo mining...

yes, run the primecoind instead. remember to edit the conf file add: gen=1 Actually, primecoind also runs the wallet (you can execute transactions using its RPC interface) but it does not have a GUI. If that's what was meant by "without running the wallet" everything is fine :-) Onkel Paul

Block rate seems to have dropped dramatically on mainnet. It's taking a couple of minutes until a new block is found.
