You'll notice a drop on cryptsy, a big one.. let me tell you a story...

Lava and I were in IRC when this guy came in... Lava went to read his kids a bedtime story...

This guy proceeded to explain that we should collude with him to drop the price of SXC and stop promotion and development. He reasoned that market capital wasn't important.. Neither was hashrate.. The important thing was the name.. Everybody in the world would find out about SXC all at once and instantly adopt it, and if we were the only ones holding it, we would be rich..

Fortunately lava cam back and explained some basics to him, like you need miners to process transactions, and you need other people owning SXC and providing nodes, and you need hashrate to keep the coin secure...

Looking at the huge dump of approximately 1,168,000 SXC it seems to me, he might have decided to go it alone... Don't let him buy back your SXC at a low rate..

The other thing that might have happened is we have a lot of things lined up for SXC.. But we need the client released first... We can't approach websites with the present client, or alot of other sites.. we can't break into the chinese market or bring out wallets in other languages...

Maybe a major holder simply got sick of waiting for what seems to be a very simple fix ( Theres actually a few things that need to be fixed ) and lost faith and cashed out their entire holding

Now I'm haveing health issues and I really need to take care of myself.. don't panic, I'm not running away...

I just needed to throw my 2SXC in.

With all the heat on crypto, the Congressional hearings, BTC and LTC going to chikun heaven, we've had some big dumps on cryptsy ( maybe coinex ). Like a perfect storm, both Digger and I have been dealing with things on the homefront.

We've both been watching the markets. One thing we've noted is that only about 7% of all the SXC in existence is up on the market for sale. The buy side is a little harder to judge because people can ask for more than even is in existence. IMHO, it means that the market for sxc isn't really even there yet. I need to say that I am a coder, with about as much finance smarts as an elmo doll. Perhaps someone with a little more background could chime in, but the thing about SXC which is making me still hold, is that we really do have more actual utility than most of the other newcomer coins. I call SXC a newcomer, because it came into existence AFTER the april explosion.

I think with all the activity lately, we are kind of in a brand new game as far as the actual value of alts in general. If an alt is pegged against LTC, or BTC and suddenly the value of LTC and BTC increases 800%, what is the value of those coins that are pegged against them? Does it change also? So I think ( remember the elmo doll ) that what is happening is that the market is trying to adjust to rapid changes in value. I also think that there are a number of people that play all kinds of alt coins, looking only at the numbers. These people would, understandably, dump everything they had to get into BTC and LTC. So, for those of us still in the 'long term strategy' camp, I would also encourage you to not panic.

I am working on the new client and hope to have it out very soon. I'm thinking end of month. Fendle is working diligently on marketing products and Digger is working even harder on 'other' inroads.

On another note, I watched the congressional hearings yesterday. Despite FinCEN and DHS shitting their pants, congress has taken a position not to fight the wave, but embrace, regulate and tax crypto. Believe it or not, this is a good thing, even for Sexcoin.

Trust me, just because BTC and LTC went through the roof, the adult entertainment industry didn't go away.

  I've been mining SXC for a bit.  I really like the idea of this coin, but perhaps for reasons that are different from most.  I see this as a possibility for people to spend SXC on prophylactics.  Humanitarian organisations in third world countries, etc.

Although that's not really a good thing for the coin.  One of the keys to success is that it needs to be spread out among as many different people as possible.  Right now I'm pretty sure the majority of the SXC wealth is in the hands of just a few people.  That's just one reason why more miners is important.
